RACE 1

7-JK Alwaysbalady – Always B Miki second foal out of Nancy Takter’s 2014 HOY, the first is 1:49.1 multiple stakes winner JK First Lady, solid back half out of range in her Big M debut last week, logical to expect more off that needed mile

 

3-Fire Start Hanover – Sister to a 1:51.2 performer, Fabrice Hanover, dam a sister to the great Glowing Report, followed up her new found success in PA with a well-controlled & decisive score here last week & draws better

 

5-Off The Record – Four-for-four in the money for the high percentage Robert Cleary barn, pace compromised chasing Fire Start Hanover off a :57 half in an excellent acclimating mile

 

RACE 2

6-Shakespeare – $225,000 first foal out of a sister to 1:48 performer Abelard Hanover, flashed speed to get involved from post nine & settled for third behind Commanding Officer, third try off bench & only fifth start, so plenty of upside

 

1-Commanding Officer – Captaintreacherous brother to millionaire Bedroom Confessions, 1:48.4, tripped out to his first win & round one upset in a sharp 1:51.2 & now this Team Alagna pupil lands the rail to duplicate that tally

 

2-Captain Sleaze – 0 for nine gelding put forth a solid second to a well-rated winner in round one last week & draws inside again to play another stalking role

 

RACE 3

7-Lindysmusclemania – More than lived up to the hype by going three-for-three in a smashing Big M debut last week, draws outside the main dangers, but the sky’s the limit for this Team Svanstedt gem

 

1-Broadway Don – Fashion Farms bred by a Hambo winner our of an Oaks champion, brother to $1.4 million winner Broadway Donna, 1:51.1, learning his lessons well @ The Red Mile for Jim Campbell & lands the rail here

 

2-Robert’s Hanover – Followed up his rousing first win here with a strong second to standout Sonofamistery last week & post gods continue to be kind to this Team Alagna trainee

 

RACE 4

2-Chablis – Muscle Hill filly second foal out of the 1:51.4 stakes winner D’Orsay, chased first round standout Aunt Irene for the deuce, beat Mazzarati in the 9-12 qualifier & draws post two again for the anticipated follow up

 

1-Mazzarati – Jim Doherty Memorial elimination winning filly by Cantab Hall out of the millionaire Falls For You, cruised along on an easy lead & nailed by the favorite Ineffable last week, now moves inside off the needed tightener

 

7-Izzy Demsky – E L Titan filly reeled off her first three wins in the NY Excelsior Series, set a slow pace & just missed in that final after missing three weeks, rates contender status despite the outside draw here 

 

RACE 5

7-Prophet Blue Chip – Owns a mark of 1:52 taken here last year, was regaining form before getting parked first over two weeks ago, draws another challenging post, but might just need the right pace set up

 

1-Lear Seelster – Circled the field from last to first to upset these two weeks ago, then forced wide from an impossible spot as the beaten favorite, finally moves in prime form

 

4-Scirocco Mistysaid – Dropped out of tougher races @ Pocono & returned to the Big M with a well-driven second last week for Mark Silva, draws inside again for a similar trip

 

RACE 6

7-Three Way Split – Somebeachsomewhere sister to 1:48 track record holder Tall Drink Hanover finished a nonthreatening fifth in her comeback last week, has a chance to step up making only her third career start for Team Alagna

 

1-Albergita Hanover – Roll With Joe 11thfoal out of the millionaire Armbro Amoretto has been a star in NYSS, no chance after a slow start from post seven in that final & now draws the rail in a soft division here

 

6-I Say No More – Got off to great start from post seven & settled for third in round one last week & has a chance a to build on that much-improved effort for Team Miller 

 

RACE 7

3-Icingon De Cupcake – Has been tackling tougher company @ Pocono recently, a solid third to standout Dayson two starts back, fresh off a confidence-boosting win @ Harrah’s Philadelphia & draws well again back here

 

5-Carrick – Solid gelding has made his way down the condition ladder, runner up to the raging repeated Lasa Dida Lady last week & stalks from midpack again

 

8-Lifetime Royalty – Been pretty consistent lately, rallied for a new mark of 1:54.3 as the even money favorite two starts back, third against better from the same tough post last week & now drops back to a more reasonable level

 

RACE 8

2-Royson’s Punch – Rallied to upset a NY Excelsior Final with trot at both ends from post eight, a solid third in his Big M debut from post seven, draws better & continues to improve for Team Toscano

 

8-Zenith Stride – Peter Haughton Memorial upsetter was pace compromised & got rolling too late as Lindysmusclemania dominated last week, follows up from the same outside post & loses Brian Sears, but remains a serious threat

 

7-Jack Fire – Cantab Hall gelding ships in fresh off the mile of his life in a PASS consolation @ Pocono, so this Nifty Norman trainee arrives brimming with confidence

 

RACE 9

5-Simon Says Hanover – Team Alagna trainee romped in his latest qualifier with a sharp :26.3 late burst, had his stretch momentum thwarted when he had to move around trouble last week & must fear the follow up

 

3-Summa Cum Laude – Team Burke trainee suddenly came to life in a post eight air-out mission last week, Home Grown winner in a sharp 1:51.4 from post seven back on 7-31 indicates serious talent

 

1-Bettor Not Talk – Gelding from the first crop of Betting Line quickly established himself in The Stallion Series with a wire-to-wire in 1:51.2 @ The Meadows two starts back, chance to rebound off an early miscue from the rail here

 

RACE 10

2-Glenferrie Bronte N – 9YO NZ bred mare took a new mark of 1:51.2 in late August @ Pocono, a strong second @ Harrah’s Philadelphia two starts back, now gets some class & post relief for The Mann

 

3-Kay’s Delight – Finally moves inside after finishing well from slow starts, a solid second against similar @ Harrah’s Philadelphia three starts back

 

8-Patanjali N – NZ bred mare has been much better in her last three, held on by a nose for a new mark of 1:54 two starts back @ Pocono & just missed here last out

 

RACE 11

3-Deerfield Beach - $15,000 claim back in late July has done well against those types recently @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, just one for 17 this season, but the class & post relief make him one to fear

 

10-All It Takes – Horse-for-the-course with back class tried sudden controlling speed & settle for third last week, now drops all the down & rates highly despite post ten

 

9-Shoreview – Barn change alert here with the switch to Team Bongiorno, took a mark of 1:50.3 here last year & on a class tumble, hasn’t raced in 37 days, draws outside, but doesn’t face much

 

RACE 12

4-Insured AM S – Team Melander trainee by Chapter Seven out of the millionaire Blur, hasn’t missed the board in five starts & just a head shy in the NYSS Final

 

2-Rebel Girl – Rode the pocket, angled with dead aim & failed to deliver the knock out punch in a five-ply photo last week, benefits from that experience & now draws better 

 

5-Liz’s Champ – NY homebred on an improving trend, chased standout Aunt Irene in a useful Big M debut, figures to be within closer striking range in a wide-open division

 

RACE 13

6-Grandpa Don – Transitioned nicely to the mile track here with a noteworthy rally to hit the board last week, has some back class lurking & gets another shot @ this reduced level

 

2-Walks Of Life – That’s two straight solid seconds since the barn change & class drop, beaten favorite & horse-for-the-course draws inside again off another strong effort

 

4-Albert A’ Scootin – Returns to the Big M fresh off an eye-catching score @ Freehold & can’t forget the grinding nose lose here back on August 1st
