1 THE SECOND STAR Went a lot faster in most recent qualifier, so that could signal improvement. It doesn't look ike there are any killers in here, so let's not be too quick to dismiss this lass. She plots for a nice inside trip too!
2 JK LOCKHERUP Probably got a little "lonely" on the lead racing in her debut, so don't be too hard on her. Field's lone 2YO faces a tough task transitioning to the big track, but maybe this is what she needs? Might be more talented! Trainer: Nice filly, but still green and inexperienced. Hoping she continues to learn and gain experience.
3 HARPER CHOICE Comes off a confidence boosting win, so let's respect that. However, she will have to go a LOT faster here at Club Med. I usually need to see it first, before I believe it. Demand value if you fancy.
4 LOTUS SEELSTER Brett opted here over #1, so consider that. 3YO has big experience edge on the inside foes, plus she's been facing somewhat better. Miller liable to wake her up and get more speed tonight. Hard to leave out.
5 PIRAEUS This filly has also faced better, and she comes off a couple of improved efforts. Has experience on a mile track, but I am a bit concerned about a lack of early zip. If pace is slow, it won't be so easy to make up ground.
6 LIVIN THE MOMENT Dane took over on this filly and she had a decent first go for the new barn. I'll suspect he thinks she might be better here on the big track, or why would he bring her here? A few questions to be answered.
7 MISS BLING Simon hops aboard this mare who is having a much better season this year. She also has speed, which means she should be firing out. Any smooth trip gives her chance to upset the freshman on the inside.

1 REGAL HILL Hasn't really put it all together yet, but I was happy with an improved try here. Gets the rail and Vinny again, so let's look for a little bit more. Probably won't be 39-1 this week, but still decent price. Your call?
2 MRS FRANK Despite a slowish start, she just exploded late for Andy. Also got locked in for a while on final turn, so it was a very impressive debut. Obviously, she has talent, but is still very green. I'll advise caution if price is very low.
3 DON'T PRESS SEND Flashed a bit better speed in the Pocono finale, so there is hope here. It's still never easy for a 2YO to beat older foes in a spot like this. I will rate him a medium longshot, and note that Brett opted for #6
4 ROAD LIGHT Definitely one of the factors in here with Nap sticking around. BUT, I don't think the price will be very big and I must note that 1-35 lifetime record. So, if you wanted to take a stab against, I wouldn't blame you. Trainer: Raced well last start and seems to like the Meadowlands.
5 TOUGHER THAN EVER Barn is back on a roll right now, but here's another potential short price horse. Returns from Plainridge where his speed didn't last. Yes, that's a 31.3 last quarter, and a 1-26 lifetime record. Your call?
6 FLAMINGO PETE Recently added Lasix, but hasn't picked up the bit just yet. I see the speed, but I can't guarantee that the big track is the answer for Pete. Take a good, long look at him on the track before you bet. Tough call.
7 MISS OLIVIA MAE Homebred hasn't quite lived up to her potential just yet. Has to be rated a longshot here.
8 LADY EAGLE Burned a bit of money in last try up at the Spa. Has navigated a big track before, so that is in her favor. I do like the speed, but not the post. Very mixed signals in Big M debut, but connections must be respected.
9 WILDNIGHT Did not show much in first try here and lands similar post. I guess I have to pass tonight.
10 BELLA BEE BABY Barn's other starter did not get lucky at the post draw again. A real case of the bad post blues right now. Nap was listed and opted off, as expected. Clearly on the outside looking in. Will need to find some speed.

1 BETTORHAVEANOTHER Finally gets a break at the post draw, after getting slammed lately. It's very hard to gauge those recent races, because after a slow start, she really had no chance. Time for a wakeup call? A big maybe.
2 SCHOLZ Coming off a series of clunkers, so this drop is needed. I'm not telling you that he'll wake up all the way here, but he does have a license to go faster again on the big track. Not completely out of the question.
3 OFFDAHOOK BLUECHIP Perhaps not one of the best coming out of this barn, but they're searching for a good spot for him and probably have it here. Owns a touch of reliable speed, so any good trip will give a chance. Also a maybe.
4 DEEPFAVE HANOVER Had his race over the track, so let's look for a little more tonight. Didn't exactly show much last week, but this spot could be a tad softer. One of the many in here eligible for a better effort tonight.
5 DRACO Lots of lifetime starts, but not very many wins. With that said, I'll probably lean against this fella for now, until he shows me something here at the Med. I need to see it first.
6 STEALTH BOMBER Had a very, very good qualifier against a high-class horse. That stood out to me! I know the Yonkers races were disappointing, but the big track could be the answer. If he's that good again, he wins. Trainer: Horse has speed, but has had some setbacks. I think and hope we are over them, and horse can finally get on with career.
7 HOME JAMES Also had an excellent qualifier here, but then a sub-par effort. I thought he looked a little rough too! so, if the price is low tonight, I'll try and swing against. I'll also look for any equipment changes, etc. Tough call. Trainer: Raced good for his first start back. I know he went slower in the race than the qualifier, but he needed the race.
8 BIG STRETCH MARK For a brief moment, I actually thought this guy was going to steal away and win. Then, reality set it. He finished third for the umpteenth time. He's a use underneath only for me, not on top. Like the speed!

1 NEPTUNE Note the driver change here, as everyone else will. There's also a big class drop in play, so when I look at the race from November 5th, I see similarities. This is clearly a "go"start, but don't expect a huge price.
2 HOPE FOR BADLANDS Pretty dull in those last two here, so we they waiting for this kind of class drop too? I wish I knew the answer. Wouldn't be shocked if he woke up and raced a lot better tonight. I will expect it. Trainer: Had a couple starts back off a layoff with steady progress. Hoping for another improving effort.
3 KEEP GOING Worked his way too high up in class at Freehold. I can't exactly say this is enough "relief" for him to keep going and shock us. I see who's in the seat, but he's got his work cut out with this 10YO. Not for me.
4 CHEYENNE REIDER Took an aggressive shot down at Philly and folded up his tent. Was facing better at Yonkers before that, so I think barn has found the right spot for him here. He's won on big track before. Hard to ignore.
5 TOTALLY DREAMY Just 2-39 on the campaign this year, so I will lean against and let him beat me, if he can.
6 JK PARLAY The key to the race, folks! On and off Lasix. Been a bit of a project horse so far, but I must note that he won a race in 1:51 earlier this year. Any kind of speed like that would blow these away. Is he primed and ready?
7 THE GREEN KNIGHT Just 2-31 this year. Had a race over the track where he didn't show much. This is a bit of a class drop, but I'm not sure it's enough. The post won't help either. Not quite my type.
8 ROGER MACH EM The "other" key to the race. Was facing much better down at Philly, and note the subtle improvement in his last rally. I believe he has enough speed to overcome the post. Is this the right spot? Maybe.

1 TEASIN N PLEASIN Be careful here, folks. Filly had a very good trip behind a hotly contested pace last time and she didn't exactly explode late. With that said, it was just her second try on Lasix. Still needs a lot more to win one. Trainer: Last week she finally showed a little of her old self. She may be on the right track and has same driver 2 weeks in row.
2 LITERALLY The other 3YO filly in here returns to the Big M, but from a much better post. That alone should give her a better chance A couple of her efforts hint at ability, so I'd be willing to toss her onto the ticket at the right price.
3 CLIFTON BEACH Just when you thought he was finally putting it all together, he broke. The comeback was pretty nice, but the price isn't going to be that big. Do you really want the risk that he might break again? Your call.
4 DOC'S BOY Shows a real mixed bag of efforts, but he wasn't bad in Big M debut. That shows a little bit of hope for a return try here. This field might be a tad better, but his post is better too! I guess I can make a case for more.
5 DAMFOOLRMILLIONAIR Comes out of same race as #4, but simply wasn't as good. I guess I'll pass this time.
6 BRANDOS MUSCLE MAN Out of the amateur races and into a real one. Gelding is a true war horse, about to make his 162nd lifetime start, so that deserves credit. Barn is pretty sharp, so let's expect a wakeup call kind of effort.
7 FRIENDSINLOWPLACES Loved his qualifier and liked him last time, and I think the strategy was to just get him around there onstride. He wasn't bad, but he wasn't great either. I'll give another chance, but want to see more now.
8 MARION GONDOLIER It's never an encouraging thing to see a scratch lame, and a recent break in stride. I know he was facing better fields, but still! I guess I'll take a long look out on the track and make a determination.
9 STARDUST MEMORIES Since he completely dominated that last grouping with a very well rated pace, he's the favorite now. I do believe the task will be tougher from the outer post. If untested, he'll probably win again. Trainer: Raced really great! Hopefully, he can repeat. Seems okay in that class.
10 WHATNBLAZES Arguably not one of my favorite trotters, so I'll just leave him out from the brutal post.

1 GWALLY Took an aggressive try upon arrival here last week, but succumbed to the tough trip against a better field. So, now he drops, gets a better post and a new driver. That could all add up to better effort. Price should be right.
2 HANRAHAN Was the BIG beneficiary of a perfect trip and drive last week to beat a much weaker field and upset a heavy favorite. With that said, I don't expect him to get that "lucky" again. These are much tougher foes.
3 LAUDERDALE Didn't really fire last week when taken off the gate by Nap. That's just not this horse's game, so I do expect a return to the speed, as long as he's trotting. That will only complicate matters. Very hard to handicap.
4 MONTALBANO BI Barn clearly had him ready off the layoff! That was nice, professional effort from a hard-trying horse. Gets "lucky" to stay in the same class, fitting by a few bucks. If the trip is smooth, he will charge again.
5 MASSACAIA Newcomer to the Big M doesn't look like a "winning" kind of horse right now. He looks more like a follower. With that said, I will probably pass and watch one here first. Brett opted to #7, as expected.
6 STARSABOVEALLERAGE Never really had a chance to get into the race last week. No problem. One of these nights soon, he's going to wake back up and shock us. I'm hoping it's not tonight, but I usually guess wrong.
7 P L ICABOD That really was a tough luck loss to #4 last week. Brett put a perfect trip on him and just got outnodded late. Horse is clearly sharp again and you know we're going to see speed. Might be the one to catch, if #3 falters.
8 QUEENS LONELY EARL 10-time winner this year is in for the tag to fit the race. Those wins catch my eye, so I'm anxious to see if he can transition to the mile track. Plenty of speed on view. Complicates the pace scenario.

1 CARDIAC FASHION Set a pretty hot pace last week and just failed to hold on. It was still a pretty good effort, but out of the Burke threesome, Nap ends up on the entrymate. That has to tell us something, right? Expect speed in post 6.
1A IDEAL MATTERS I must admit, I was impressed by his effort last week. I didn't expect that, and was 100% wrong. Since Nap ends up on this one, I'll assume this is the power of the threesome. Post still hurts, but horse is good!
2 ALL IT TAKES Had a very, very good start last week, and he probably needed the race too! Gets the best post for Team Burke and Brett Miller gets a return call. Has to protect the inside a little. I can easily take a positive view.
3 KOTARE YAEL N Absolutely loved him last week, and he simply let me down. It did take a BIG mile from 1A to get by him, but it was still disappointing. I can guarantee the price will be better tonight, if you want to stab again. I will.
4 MOONLIGHT RANSOM Gave barn it's first Big M winner and horse was very good to get the job done. With that said, I think this field will prove a whole lot tougher, but hot horses win races. Your call, folks!
5 JUSTIFIED Thought he had a big chance to win last week and that's exactly what he did, given a strong drive by Eric A. He will attempt to do the same, but this spot won't be that easy. Demand fair value if you think he repeats.
6 RING WARRIOR Just towed along behind the faves last week and will hope to do it again. He certainly has the speed to fire out and I see him trying that. I don't think he has the late kick to win, but can earn a share by keeping up.
7 WELLWESAID Hung a little last week, so that concerns me. I don't think he's as good as these. I will pass.
8 HIGH OCTANE N Actually was good last week, but finds himself in hopeless spot way out here. Needs some luck.
9 JUSTA CAMILION Where's he going from post 10? Probably not very far. In need of the mayhem pace scenario to set up some sort of rally. I guess I'd be surprised if he jumped up and won this. You would be too!

1 STEAL N GAS Was well bet last time, but I guess he just can't get around Yonkers. Have to try mile track now, but I still have my doubts. Take a good, long look at him out on track first. Barn will figure him out eventually.
2 PAINITE Took the cautious approach in first trip over the track and picked up a check. Takes the appropriate class drop here to the right spot, so I give her a big chance. Expect a more aggressive attempt here. Lots to like.
3 QUICK DEAL Was stuck in a hot pace scenario last time, so don't be too hard on him for the odds-on loss. Tonight's problem is that he's forced UP in class. Race should set up a little differently, but I don't think I can bet him yet. Trainer: Very happy that he is staying flat, but I wish he could finish a little better. We're trying to work on that.
4 SOUTH SIDE HANOVER Eric did a fine job of rating her last week, and for a moment, I thought she'd stolen away. Just got a little tired near the end. I'd be shocked if she sets pace here. Might stalk, and can rally. A must use.
5 FIJI Ordinarily, this would be the prime drop and pop spot for Fiji, but he's not the only dropper in here. Has enough speed and versatility to do it either way. Probably only needs a smooth trip to have a big chance. Positives!
6 SHEER ACTION Finds his way over from Pocono, with an 0-16 slate on the year. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence, so I'll probably take the wait and see approach. If things get heated up front, he can rally at times.
7 SCREAMING CONWAY Well-traveled of late, that's for sure. Lots of miles logged, but only two wins to show for it. Doesn't appear to pack speed, so completely at mercy of pace and trip. Demand fair price if you fancy.
8 BETTER TO BE LUCKY Out of the amateurs and into a real race. It's never an easy transition. Horse might be a little too slow for these, plus he gets stuck with a very bad starting slot. Pass.
9 GONNA FLY Same boat as #8. I guess I'd be shocked if he won this from a bad post. Not quite my type.
9 Ninth Race Entries

1 SWORD OF THE SPIRIT Did not use his speed last week and therefore did not get involved. Trust me, he's better than that. Expect a BIG return to form in this consolation race from the better post. Probably the one to beat tonight.
2 BAGGAGE CLAIM Also gets big time post relief, so that immediately puts him back in play. I know recent form looks a little bit suspect, but I think he's better than he shows. I'd be very willing to use him on most tickets in here.
3 WOODMERE ULTIMATE Vinny had a choice and opted here over #10. Also finds himself starting from a better slot, so that has to help! Certainly good enough to go with these. Not the worst longshot stab ever.
4 ROCKET J I will admit I'm not a fan of this particular horse, but any kind of wakeup call wouldn't shock me.
5 STEADY PULSE Struggled home after being used hard early last time. That won't happen again, but I still wonder if he's good enough and quick enough to be competitive here. Eventually, we'll find out. I will pass for now.
6 LE GAMBE Didn't exactly impress me with his Big M debut last week. His races up north were better than that. Should we give him another chance to show us something? Of course! Let's see more, please.
7 NITRO GLISTENING Just okay last week for the two Brett's! Sometimes it takes a race on the mile track to develop that stamina. They're back for another go and there are no killers in here. Another eligible to race a lot better. Trainer: Never has really raced on a big track. Probably needed that start last week and should be better.
8 QUALITY BUD Loses that inside post edge and for this fella, I think it's going to hurt a lot. Just forget about last week's disaster, but if he doesn't fire out (unlikely) he's at mercy of pace and trip. Might not work out.
9 ROLL N CATCH Yes, we're all kind of getting tired of his act. Plods along and sometimes kicks in. The price is never big and now the post is much tougher. He'll probably beat me tonight, just to show me. If it happens, so be it.
10 PLAYEROSA A little disappointing upon arrival. I thought he had a shot in there, but the stamina just wasn't there. Now, it's post 10 and Vinny opting off. Too many negatives for me tonight.

1 EVERY INTENTION Two straight post 10's to the pole, so watch out for the wakeup call, folks! Should be used to mile track by now and if you were searching for possible price play, this could be it. Expect better speed tonight.
2 HOT SHOT HILL Exits slow races down at Freehold, so I have my doubts about his abilities here. I will pass.
3 MUST BE THE BUNNY 12YO warhorse has a poor overall record last two years, but recent form isn't terrible. I'll add that A Nap takes the call, so that inspires a bit of confidence. Post is okay. Let's see if he belongs.
4 CHARMBO CURIOSITY Not much to say about his recent races. In need of total turnaround. Not likely.
5 SAND BENELLI Here's an 11YO that comes off a win, but also a sick scratch. Mixed signals for sure. He did prove he could go fast enough earlier this year up at Vernon. Gets Super Brett. I suspect we'll see some speed tonight.
6 IDEAL BID Have to feel this is the right spot for a Big M try. I'm not guaranteeing he'll be good enough on the mile strip, but I'm willing to watch one. Jimmy Jr. liable to take a shot and send in field like this. Might work out well.
7 KING OTRA Had one start up at Monti, after shipping down from Maine. This is ambitious spot for the 10YO and he definitely has something to prove for this pricetag. I don't like the post, or potential pace scenario. Prefer others.
8 BIG BAD JASON Probably the key to the race, folks. Exits that non-winners of two spot for this claimer. Not sure if that's good or bad? Has won for this tag before, so I guess ya gotta race 'em where they can win. Also adds Lasix. Trainer: Down in class and trained well this week.
9 INTERMIX Nothing to recommend in this corner, not to mention the bad post drawn again. Dismissible.
10 IDEAL DANNY Moves from pole to post 10, and that's never usually a recipe for success. I can't even promise you that he has enough speed to get involved early. BUT, if he doesn't it'll be long road home.
11 Eleventh Race Entries

1 MISQUED I really thought she was in a wakeup call spot last week, but she failed to deliver any kick at all. That just tells me she's tired after a long season. I'm going to pass on her for now, as Brett opted to #2.
2 JENNY'S TERROR Miller ends up here, after another recent barn change. I see all the breaks, so I have many doubts. Check the board for equipment changes and let's look for any improvement. Let's start by staying onstride!
3 FOX VALLEY HERMIA Yes, I got caught offguard by this mare last week. We sure missed the boat at 17-1 and she'll be nowhere near that tonight. The post is better, but I feel field is tougher. Will try to track down #8. Not easy.
4 WEEKEND GETAWAY Up and down the class ladder up at the Spa, but at least she gets decent post here. Took her mark here a couple of years ago, so I wouldn't talk you off her here. Price should be right. Smooth trip would help.
5 MATTJESTIC TEMP I am probably going to talk you off this one. Her recent form is poor. Have to pass.
6 MADE OF JEWELS AS Steadily working her way down the class ladder, and I'll be shocked if Mr. Horowitz doesn't pick her! This is his favorite barn in a spot like this. A Nap gets the call. All systems say go for tonight!
7 UNBEAMLIEVABLE Almost got lucky and stole away last week. Just couldn't stave off #3 late. Still, it was a very positive speed try and that's the gameplan again, I'm sure. Might end up with that nice pocket trip behind #8.
8 MCACE OFARTS We all know her game and it was executed to perfection to beat the weaker field last week. Now, with that said, this spot will be MUCH tougher. She's game, and fast, but there will be more pressure tonight.
9 STAGE IT RIGHT Ships down with a lot to prove and an almost impossible post. I guess I'll probably watch one and see if she can hack it here. Will be coming from way back in the pack.
10 WHISKERSONKITTENS Talk about a case of the bad post blues! It's almost not fair for this mare! She turned in ultra-game try last week, but a similar trip scenario looms. Might be time to take her back this week. Trainer: Mare has been racing great but has to overcome the post once again.
