1 ANTONIA Her good early season form seems to have a little south. Got sick last month, so that might have a lot to do with it. Good spot here to regain a little speed. Let's see if she turns it around for Camp Norman.
2 CAN'T TOUCH IT That was a pretty good effort here on opening night. Flashed speed and kept up behind a very well-meant winner. There isn't a ton of speed types in here, so expect an aggressive try. Seeking first win.
3 MARVELOUSTRIX Also hasn't won one yet, but she's been pretty consistent. Picked up a check in last week's leg and that's probably the goal again. Only has to stay out of trouble to do that. Tags along, and maybe picks off a few late.
4 QUEEN OF TRIXS Daughter of Trixton isn't a quick starter, but she's a darn good finisher! Really caught my eye trotting up a storm in final yards last week. Definitely a "big track" horse in my opinion. Will put it all together soon.
5 FLO'S CONCH SHACK That was an impossible trip here last week, so don't be too hard on her. In fact, she held better than I expected! Gameplan might be similar, since her stablemate has post two with speed. Will she make the top?
6 GLOBAL PAGEANT This is a very nice filly here too! She's a bit more accomplished than most of these, and exits good tries in Grand Circuit stakes. That should give her significant edge. Showed nice speed at Vernon that one time and that's the ticket here. Trainer: Raced very well at The Red Mile. Seems to love the big track.

1 LULU DE VIE Just 1-18 so far, so in need of another gear or two. Has flashed speed before, and then lacked stamina. Not sure what to expect in this spot, but she might improve with switch to big track. I'll be watching.
2 ASHLEE'S SPORT Another filly with a lot of starts, hoping a change of scenery might help. Hasn't been able to shade 56 up north, so let's see if she gets any faster here. I have my doubts, but anything is possible. Wakeup call?
3 ODDS ON STEPHANIE Managed to "keep up" in that wicked fast Red Mile race. That's not bad! That, plus her impeccable pedigree should give her a significant edge over this group. Might get a little test from her stablemate.
4 SOMEANGELSOMEWHERE Tough call here. Has missed a LOT of time since last start. Has a more "heralded" stablemate in here, so this does look like a race just to get back in shape. Right? I guess we'll find out.
5 AIRBORNE HANOVER Picked off a few at the end of that mile last week. Note that was completely different kind of race, against mostly older mares. This is more like it. She fits here, although not as accomplished as #3. Usable.
6 SILK REED Just one lonely win in each of the last two seasons. So, with that said, I'd maybe consider underneath, but probably not on top. This post isn't going to help matters, but she does look versatile. This will be tough spot.
7 BEST AMERICAN CHIC Suffering a good case of the bad post blues, folks! Fourth straight outer slot. That's not fair! Her last start up at Monti wasn't bad. Chased Beyonce willingly. Will she fire out? That could cause a little mayhem.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 4-2-1-6
H Horse Comment
1 BIG WEEZY There are LOTS of sick horses around, folks, and this filly got scratched last week. Remember, they "need" these starts to rack up points for final. Hoping Weezy comes back ready tonight. She does have some talent.
2 JEZZYS LEGACY Lost a heartbreaker at a very nice price last week. Perfect trip and drive from Ray and he'll have some options now from this better post. That was very good step in right direction for filly. Confidence builder too!
3 SOUTHWIND PERCY She was just okay last week, in a start she might have needed. She's hit the board in almost every start so far, so that deserves a little respect. Will have to add a little stamina to the package tonight. Maybe.
4 HANNA DREAMGIRL Raced very well out in Kentucky, especially that last start against The Ice Dutchess. Anything near that would probably see her crush these, but price will be very short. Also note that she won here earlier. Trainer: Raced very well at The Red Mile. Got in with some tough fillies and held her own.
5 HALLINTHECLOUDS Has yet to hit the board in four lifetime starts. So far, she's just not quick enough. I would need to see a lot more before I could endorse. And, the switch to this post won't help either. A longshot.
6 LIKEIT OR LEAVEIT Looks like a nice, high-speed filly so far. The win at Philly was pretty solid, and at a nice price too. The follow-up a bit suspect, as she "left the course." I guess I'd want to take a good look at her scoring down.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 2-4-5-3

1 UNDER THE HOOD Appeared to "need" that first try back here. No worries. Switches to the pole here, but isn't really getting any class relief. This is good-looking bunch too! Will probably try to just keep up from the rail. A maybe.
2 JK MARDI SAYS Been running into some real "beasties" of late. She's not quite up to that yet. However, she gained good education on the big track up in Canada. I think she'll fit just fine here. Stablemate looks good too!
3 ROCK N MCROLL Took a real shot at the leaders last week, before weakening come crunch time. It happens. Wasn't an easy trip and she may get stuck in similar spot here. Speed seems like her weapon, so might as well use it.
4 DARN TOOTN HANOVER Gave Alkippe all she could handle last week, with a very impressive try. I liked what I saw. I do see her "penchant" for running second, but one night soon, she'll jump up and win one. Hard to leave out here.
5 SWEET DIAMOND Barn's other starter comes off a solid, rocket-home win in that late closer. Prior to that, she got outmuscled by #4. So, they square off again. This lass wants to work from off the pace, so she will need a trip here. Trainer: Really nice filly. Took our time getting her to the races. Raced really well last start at Lex. Still a little green, but fast!
6 ALII NUI Looks like the longshot of the bunch, having drawn the outside post. I don't see much speed in her arsenal just yet, so let's take a pass and see if she improves any. Very tough spot.

1 JK CAPTAIN JACK As previously stated, lots of sick horses around this time of year. Here's one that got scratched twice, so that's an issue. He's got to start back somewhere, so why not here? I'll rate a longshot. Probably not ready.
2 NO ORDINARY MAN Son of Cheddar here! Only two starts so far, and not bad! Wasn't quite ready to pace that fast last week here, but it's good experience. Same thing coming here. Let's see if he gradually improves. Probably will.
3 ODDS ON BOCA RATON One of three for the barn in here, and it will likely be a battle between them. Was racing well up in Canada. Took a few weeks off, adding Lasix. Exits very highly rated race at Red Mile. Maybe it's his turn.
4 CAPTAIN MCKEE Of the Alagna Armada in here, maybe this Captain is the question mark? I don't really like to see breaks from young pacing colts, and this guy has made a few. Likely coming from off pace too. Let's see if he paces.
5 CENTURY FERRARI That's a pretty darn good start here last week, considering he was 64-1! Won't be that price now, and might have to prove it wasn't a fluke. This is a pretty quick bunch and this guy only has two starts. Needs more.
6 ESCAPETOTHEBEACH Very, very nice win up north last time. Showed good speed, and good guts to prevail. It took a while, but this guy has finally come around. Figures to give his stablemate ALL he can handle. Will be firing out too!
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 4-5-1-6

1 MELANIE'S TEDY Had a real tough trip on Super Night at Hoosier and paid the price. Okay. Homebred ships all the way home and back into somewhat softer spot. It's not easy spot, but I expect him to bounce back and be good.
2 SKIP TO MY LOU On the slow and steady plan so far as a freshman. He is getting a little faster, so that's good. Gets a big break with the better post tonight. Will sit, save ground and try to get lucky late.
3 AMERICAN ADMIRAL Perhaps not the most accomplished colt in the Alagna Armada, but they can't all be killers. Admiral's issue seems to be the slow starts. Will need some work on that. Small field will keep him close. Rallies?
4 WATERWAY Did a lot of dirty work last time at the Red Mile, and didn't give it up until very late to a hard-charging favorite. Still, it was solid start and he does have slight post edge on #5. It figure to be those two duking it out late.
5 MAC'S POWER Paid instant dividends for his new barn last week. And a solid effort it was! Showed plenty of heart to dig in and sprint home to hold on. Now, he'll have to deal with #4. Should be good battle when they square off.
6 CUB FAN Not in a good spot from the outside post, but we have seen him flash speed before. Just a touch overmatched in the Grand Circuit stakes, but that's okay. Won a Kind. division before at Tioga. Will be rallying.
7 Seventh Race Entries

1 SOUL STRONG Outraced his odds last week, given a heady drive by Steve. Gets same post and situation here. Let's see if there's any more in the tank. Plots for another nice trip. Has to prove he can stay trotting too!
2 ALDEBARANWALKABOUT Not really sure what to make of this one right now. Came up big with that sweeping upset in Lex, and then followed it up with a clunker. Hate to see that. Definitely a "work in progress." Has talent.
3 DARTY Did a fairly good job of chasing the favorites last week. Good step in the right direction, and that's the fastest he's trotted so far. I like to see improvement like that. Drew another good spot. Stalks, and hopes for more late.
4 ROCK MY MUSCLES Kinda the same boat as #1,3 last week. Touch of a slow start, but then a promising finish. Definitely showed he likes the bigger track. Hoping for similar smooth journey and no mistakes. Can finish.
5 LUCKY WEEKEND Regressed a little bit in first go for new barn. He was "live" last week too, and Scotty Z gave him a chance. I would imagine we'll see similar speed, hoping to sit behind the favorite. But, he also has to stay trotting.
6 REVE TOUJOURS I thought he was in a great spot last week and he simply stopped. Not good. I'll pass now.
7 DON'T LET'EM When last seen here, this super colt won the Peter Haughton. Unfortunately, a few things have gone wrong since. Absolutely NO reason for that break in the Bluegrass. And, he got run over in qualifier. Is he sharp? Trainer: I was pleased with his qualifier. Needed that one, and trained great after.
8 WAYWARD MAN Loses that nice inside post advantage, and slides out to impossible spot. Tough to like out here.
9 TRIXAR Also looks like a slow starter and that's just not going to work in here. Figures to be far back early.
10 CHEAP TRICKS Probably the key to the race, folks! He's got big time speed, so you know he has to fire out. Trotted a decent mile last week in 56 and that's about what it will take. Will need a trip, and that's never easy from post 10.

1 MEMO Not bad of late. He did get lucky to "inherit a good spot when faves broke last week. The switch to rail is important bonus for him and he plots for a nice trip. Still needs to find a bigger kick when it counts.
2 CAPTAIN KRUPNIK Picking up checks of late, but I haven't seen enough to make me want to bet. Needs more.
3 COTTON TO YOU Seems to be getting a touch better now. Maybe the bigger track helps? Did surprise us that one time in the summer with a nice rally. That's what he'll be hoping for here. Needs hot pace and nice trip.
4 GANGNAM STYLE K S Still probably a bit overmatched here. Has to start somewhere though. A longshot.
5 NO DRAMA PLEASE Prevailed with plenty left last week, given a perfect rate from the Orange Crush. When I look at this bunch, I don't see why he can't do that again. That will be up to Stevie. Just point him to the front.
6 REIGN OF HONOR It's been an up and down season for this guy so far. Note he's already gelded. When he wants to play, he can finish nicely. But, that's a big if! Hoping for a big bounce back with the return to NJ. Maybe.
7 GERRIS TRIX 0-8 so far as a freshman. Takter took conservative route getting him to races, and started bunch of times at Freehold. Will the colt be better here? Need to see that pedigree come to life. A good possibility.
8 GALIXTON Not bad last week. Have to give him a pass, since he was probably sick. Stayed trotting all the way around, so that's a good thing. Tonight's post is the bad thing. Will need to turn up the jets a bit to get any closer.
9 SEVEN HILLS Now THAT was impressive last week! This is a very nice colt here, that's getting better every week. When he moved, it was with authority, and I don't see too many others with that kind of talent. Charges by #5? I think so.
10 MUSCLE STAR Some sick scratches on view, so that's an issue. And post 10 is probably the killer for tonight. Unless you think he can get to follow #9, might have way too far to come.

1 CAVIART DARLIN' Incredibly bred filly put it ALL together with that pouncing move at the Red Mile. It seems they're trying to get her to learn to relax and finish. I guess it's working. Pole keeps her close. Watch for move when it comes. Trainer: Little filly that really raced well in her only two lifetime starts.
2 ODDS ON ST LUCIE Let's be realistic and keep in mind that she was in the fastest ever 2YO race. EVER! And, she kept up okay and picked up a check. Has also been brought along well, taught to finish. In truth, she's faster than most.
3 ALKIPPE Really sharp effort for this homebred filly. First foal of dam too! She rated very nicely and might get to do so again, since both #1,2, want to "finish." Can she steal another one? Maybe. Victor will certainly try to steal it.
4 LOVE AT FIRST BITE Did have a couple "traffic" issues last week, so let's give her a little credit. Overall, she's been pretty consistent and does have speed. Have to respect both of those qualities. Looking at #1,2, she might blast.
5 JK AMERICAN BEAUTY Was all set to like her last week and she scratched. That's probably not good. Drew outside the main players in here, so is she ready or not? This time, I'm going to guess no. She might need this start.
6 A BEACH COWGIRL Did get trapped in a bit last week, so she also has a bit of an excuses. Nobody was beating Michelon that night anyway. Another with a decision to make behind the gate. Blast out, or take back and wait?
7 SURREALITY Scooted right through her tests down at Freehold. And a nice bankroll to boot! Tonight, I think she gets the real test for class, since I do believe she's facing faster fillies now. Let's see how she handles the big track too!

1 NEW YORK ATTITUDE Comes off a break, and a scratch, so probably not ready for this tonight. Pass.
2 AUSPICIOUS HANOVER Didn't really make much of an impact upon arrival. Does get a better starting slot, and a new driver, so we'll see if that helps matters any. I still need to see more before I could bet.
3 CROWN AFFAIR Did exactly what I expected last week in his Big M debut. Rode the pylons and kept up to get a check. Not bad. Looks like he's facing a slightly better bunch here, so the test is on again. Can he find more zip?
4 MAYFAIR JOHNNY B Added Lasix recently and did take some tote action last time. Had that tough, first over grinding trip, so let's not be too hard on him. Barn has brought many here before that fit. This could be another.
5 HIGH BLUE Still looking like a "work in progress" for Mr. Dane. Horse will probably need a little more experience here before we see results. I'm not convinced just yet.
6 TWO HIP DIP We've seen his act here before! Ya never know what you're going to get. Capable of monster rallies at times, but you have to guess when it's coming. I'm not ready to hop on board just yet off one qualifier. Be careful.
7 SWANCREDIT That was a fine try here last week. I thought he'd stolen it and he came very close. That same speed will serve him very well in this spot, and Mr. Cushing is back with us at the Big M. Here's a real chance to win one.
8 PAPPY GO GO All of us at the Med congratulate Andrew Harris on his 500th career winner! He could easily add to that total here with Pappy. Pappy has won here before, and has plenty of back class. Only needs to be primed, ready. Trainer: Qualified okay. Likes the Big M. Sound, and training good. Should be major class relief.
9 DON DORADO Here's another back class master with over half a mill earned. He's not been lucky at the post draws lately, but his speed can overcome that. Should be interesting sprint to first turn amongst the favorite. Very usable.
10 PRICELESSPOSSESION Ordinarily, I'd like this mare in a spot like this. But not tonight. I'm going to take a chance that she will race from behind, and hope for better spot and post next time. It's a gamble. We'll see if I'm right.
