1 EYORE HANOVER Burned a bit of cash over those last two, but wasn't really bad in either start. Gets to switch to the mile now and that could be just the ticket. Midpack post will keep forwardly placed. Maybe he only needs a trip?
1A MARION GONDOLIER Doesn't appear to be sharp, and gets slammed with another brutal post. I will have to pass.
2 SAILER EDDIE Stablemate of Ponyta Boy is down from New York to take a shot. We certainly can't question this guy's speed, but maybe the stamina is an issue? I guess I'd like to see a stalking try tonight. To see if he belongs here.
3 HAILEYSGONEDANCING Looks like he was as "live as can be last time at Philly, but failed to get the cash. With that said, this is technically a better bunch, so I wouldn't suggest taking a short price again. Your call, folks.
4 CROWN AFFAIR Another with "suspect" recent form, and a flat overall record. Unless you think the big track will pick him up a lot, he's a tough play tonight. Has to prove he can hack it here, and no recent races says so.
5 STACHE Woke up in a big way last time at Vernon. I imagine things did set up for a closer in that mile, but that could happen here too! Unlike others in here, he likes to win! Perfect post. Might offer a price. I'd use him on your tickets.
6 LAW OF ATTRACTION Keep in mind that he won a race here this year. Sometimes, that makes a different. One of our top barns here, so don't be too quick to discount. Have to expect a good, bounce back effort.
7 SWANCREDIT Gets the slim and tepid call as favorite, because he's dropping for a barn that does good work here. The outer post won't make it easy, but I'd be surprised if this guy wasn't sitting on a big effort. Eight wins this year.
8 AUSPICIOUS HANOVER Down from Monti and doesn't appear to be the quickest "starter." Therefore, the post is a problem. I don't really envision him sweeping the field, so demand fair value, if you fancy.

1 CHECK SIX Back to the scene of his greatest triumph, the McKee Memorial two years ago. Unfortunately, that was then, and this is now. Current form this year simply isn't that great, so he'd need a huge wakeup call to beat these.
1A CLOUSEAU HANOVER Certainly doing good work of late, but do you truly believe he's a "Preferred" type horse? I don't yet, so he'll have to prove me wrong. Yes, I can see that he won in 49, and this race will go at least that fast.
2 ROCK THE NITE Battled tested gelding here, but he's also a bit hard to predict. Some good races. Some flat ones. No real mile track form to speak of, so he's got work cut out vs. proven mile track stars. Your call, folks. Trainer: A big, nice horse. Gives his all. Yonkers isn't the best fit for him, just not many options. He seems good and trained up tight.
3 MORE THE BETTER N Burned a ton of cash last time at Yonkers. Rolled along on a well-rated lead and simply got run over. I don't think he likes the lead, so expect change of tactics here. Still remember big try Hambo Day vs. #5.
4 DEALT A WINNER It hasn't exactly been a "fun" year for this super pacer. That can always change, especially in a spot like this. Maybe getting away from the likes of Lazarus will wake him up a little. Needs a better start too!
5 DONTTELLMEAGAIN Have to admit, this guy has earned my respect! The mile at Dayton was unbelievable. I am a bit worried about the scratch in KY, because they didn't ship for nothing. Drew outer post here. Is he primed, ready?
6 WESTERN JOE After a couple weeks off, Joe is back in Jerz and ready to resume the Preferred wars! Did amazingly great work last fall and winter, and well into the spring. That's solid. He can leave IF the Z wants. Versatile horse.

1 WESTERN EXPOSURE One of the 2YO's in here ready to make his debut. Took a long time to get to the races, so I have my questions. I don't think he's ready to win, but barn has surprised us before. Remember Thinkbig Dreambig?
2 IN ROCK WE TRUST The win two back at Philly was pretty good! Overcame some trouble too! Stepped up too high last time and just went around there. Has a better post here, so we can expect him to be closer. Good shot for Irish!
3 VIRGIN GOLD Makes first start on Lasix, as second of barn's entrants in here. The problem is the missed time. I have to feel he's going to need one. Let's watch, and evaluate for next time. Could be okay, eventually.
4 AMERICAN ASSASSIN Owns just one win. Looks like he couldn't handle the turns at Yonkers. Okay. I'll take the wait-and-see approach on him too! If he goes okay tonight, maybe we'll give a look for next time.
5 I'll BE BACK Did great work out in Ohio before moving to NY and new connections. Likely was just "touring" the oval after missing a month last time. Could easily be a lot more "live" in this spot. Hard to dismiss six-time winners.
7 DEWAR N JACK Very tough call here. He's had a lot of starts. In my opinion, he's faced weaker recently up at Monti. Is he a true mile track type horse? I guess we're going to find out. Will have to go a LOT faster here. Your call?
8 HERVEY HANOVER The "other" freshman trying to beat a few elders, but he's got a huge, classy edge on these tonight. Won a stakes two back. Competed against the best before that. Isn't he just better than these? Probably, but Andy Mac did choose #1. Trainer: Turning the corner into a very useful horse. Most likely his last start for season. Hoping to go out with a bang.

1 OK HEAVENLY Finds her way back to Club Med with even more disappointing efforts on view. Simply put, she always gets overbet and she's only 2-30 this year. Not a quick starter, so at mercy of both pace and trip. Not my type.
2 REI'S STAR CROSS Interesting entrant in here for Team Harmon. Obviously, she's got some class, and a nice overall record. Pretty consistent. Also a slow starter, though. That worries me. Will need a nice trip from Mr. Merton.
3 COLORFUL JASMINE She's had some fine moments here before. But, as she's worked her way back up the class ladder, the waters get a little deeper here. I have to rate her a longshot, until she proves she can go with these.
4 PETAL TO THE METAL Another with good history here, but perhaps at a level lower than this. Ironically, she's also a closer in a field lacking much early zip. Not sure it's going to work out tonight, but will be watching closely.
5 CRACKLIN ROSIE Just 2-34 this year, but she brings an important turn of early speed to the mix. When pilot looks over program, he'll know he has to leave. That could get Rosie a great trip. She is usable in this spot.
6 ROCKIN PRALINE Finds her way back to preferred surface, and she had many strong miles here this year. Firing back on short rest tonight, off a tiring mile at Pocono on Tuesday. She has speed and will use it again. Hope she's ready!
7 BLUSH HANOVER Gets the tepid call as fave, in this wide open race. She always seems to get overbet here, and I've been lucky picking against her on many occasions. However, this may not be one of them. Fits this field perfectly.
8 KAY'S DELIGHT And, the final piece of the puzzle. Also coming back on short rest, after disappointing loss at odds-on. Note that she beat better two back, and then lost on a drop? Isn't that curious? Tough post here. Tough call.
5 Fifth Race Entries

1 ROCKET J Owner celebrated a birthday on Thursday, so a win here would make for nice present. Rocket loves this track too! I just wish that Andy had chosen him over #5. That makes for a tough call. Still a big chance, though. Trainer: Normally, this looks like spot to win, but not coming into this race under best of circumstances. Cautiously expecting good things.
2 I'M SID THE KID Recent form isn't very good, so he's a tough take in here. Has flashed speed, so might be time to just settle early, sit and save ground. Let's see if he shakes free with any pace late.
3 STAKEOUT Looks like he had trouble keeping up in most recent Philly start. Guess what? We're going to go even faster here. Horse has performed well here before, but I guess I'd like to see a good one first.
4 DAYLYN HORIZON I still remember that first win for trainer Odza this summer. Everything worked out nicely for gelding that night. Not much luck since. Back to the Med and back in need of a smoother journey. One bigger kick.
5 SOUTHERN PURSUIT N Last time we saw him here, he was battling much better and was right there. So, with that said, I will expect a complete return to form tonight, especially as Andy's choice. Any of his "A" efforts can win this.
6 ROGER MACH EM Here's another horse that has been known to wake up at times here at M1. IF you just toss the eight-hole, tough trip at Freehold, this is a big drop too! Can he beat these with Tetrick? Yes. Watch the board too!
7 SWORD OF THE SPIRIT Certainly well-traveled of late. Had a good start or two here earlier this year. Usually needs that right kind of trip to do any damage. Might be worth including at the expected nice price. Eric A will find a way.
8 PUMPED UP KICKS Lots of starts over past two seasons. Anxious to see if he can handle the big track. I'm not so sure just yet, but will be watching closely.
9 WESTERN BAYAMA Gets stuck with another bad post, so that is a problem. He's not exactly loaded with early speed, and main dangers drew way better. I know he's faced better, but he'll need a little luck to overcome this spot.
10 ASCOT ENCOUNTER A Another sufferer of the bad post blues. Have to pass again, until he gets luckier.
6 Sixth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 GLASS PRINCE This is a very nice spot for horse that likes this track. Owns six wins this year too! Great chance for Vinny on a live drive here. Expect the Price to grind his way into it, and might even offer an overlay price.
2 LONE WOLF TERROR One of the many possibilities in this wide open race. The key is the return to mile track. I know it's hard to "ignore" that recent poor form, but the Wolf is a lot better here. Don't be shocked if he gets lot closer.
3 TERROR OF THE NITE Had more than a few good go's here this year. Turned into earning machine once he got to Illinois. Right up to the Open level there! Not bad. Back for Camp Husted and into a decent spot. Expect a decent try.
4 HOWSABOUTAKISS Very hard to get a gauge on his current form, folks. You just never know what you'll get. Pass.
5 PONYTA BOY One of the sneaky price plays in here. Again, it's ALL about the return to the big track. Actually worked his way up to the Preferred level here earlier. Had that one huge upset win with Yannick. Now, Tetrick gets call. Use.
6 KOKANEE SEELSTER Up and down the class ladder at Freehold. Overall, horse is pretty consistent. Andy sticks with him. I guess I'd use in the gimmicks, but I would be surprised if he beat these. Might need a perfect trip for that.
7 TIE YOUR SHOE ED Doing decent work of late, but this does look a little too tough for him right now. I'll pass.
8 BUGGER BRUISER Some questions here about current form, but we must always take an extra look at a class dropper. Several of these are stepping up, so the Bruiser might be ready to return to form. Gets Scotty Z too! Dangerous.
9 CONSTNTLYSIDEWYS A Trainer showed up here this winter with some good stock. Won a few here, and at Yonkers. She sold them all. Now back, with a fresh bunch. Seemed to handle turns at Fhld. Might like big track a LOT better.
10 LEGION OF BOOM Not in a good spot out here, especially with those early breaks on view. Have to watch one.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 2-3-57

1 MAAJAACKKOBE Nice confidence builder up at Monti, but now back in against the wolves here. I know he likes the track, but these could be just a tad too tough for him right now. Scotty will sit in and save ground early.
2 EXPRESS STRIDE N The classic "horse for course" angle here. Does his best work right here at Club Med and gets a key inside post. When on his game, he would crush these, so let's expect a BIG mile to give #3 all he can handle.
3 AWESOMENESS Moved to new barn a while back and has definitely picked up his game. Keep in mind, that when he started here, he was a Preferred level horse. He's that good. Confidence booster at Pocono. Clearly the one to beat.
4 LUCKY SPORT A 3YO tackling older, classier horses. Therefore, this is probably not a good spot to make Big M debut in. With that said, I like his speed, and I like his post. Corey will get this fella a trip. Let's see if he's up to the task.
5 BILBO HANOVER Been facing some tough bunches over at Pocono, so let's not be too hard on him. Drew ideal midpack post for normally aggressive pilot. IF he waits, likely to get good cover from either #2,3. Nice trip, maybe?
6 QUALITY BUD Has basically been off since Hambo Day, so let's give him a race to get legs back. Tab for later on.
7 SOHO WALLSTREET A Capable of anything, at anytime, but he's very hard to bet, because he's usually overbet. I don't like the post, but know that he can leave if pilot wants. Recently on Lasix. Not sure it's helping just yet.
8 VAPOUR N Another newcomer to the Big M. Had a nice form spree there for a while. In too tough last time at Yonkers, but might still be in too tough here. I hate the post. I will probably elect to watch one, see if he belongs.
9 SLICK TONY How good is this horse? He's only three! But, has been tearing it up down south. I guess this is nice spot to test him out. Those are pretty quick miles, but he'll face older, more seasoned foes here. The ultimate test.
10 HEAVENLY SOUND Whereas #9 has speed and form, this 3YO seems buried in impossible spot here. Pass for me.

1 SPORTSMANSHIP Several barns in here have two starters. On paper, this appears to be the better chance for Auciello. Drew well. Packs enough versatile speed to threaten. Consistent. And gets Scotty Z. Some things to like.
2 ROCK LIGHTS Remember his win here in the slop? Looked like a monster then. Followed it up with a less-than-stellar effort, but his form is erratic since. Barn also has #5 in here, and that one might have better chance. Very confusing.
3 SOLO STORY Took a TON of cash last time, despite coming off a sick scratch. Why? Turned in just fair effort. I don't think he'll be well-bet in here. Just hasn't turned into a good claim yet. Let's watch for more.
4 MAJOR AUTHORITY One of the 3YO's in here, and it seems he's a lot better after some time off. The Lasix probably helping too! But, this is a major league step up in class. Facing different kind of foes here. A lot to prove tonight.
5 MESSI N Up and down the class ladder lately. This IS the right spot for him here. I love the post and gelding's versatility. Could easily get Mr. Dunn back in the Big M winner's circle, if he didn't win last night. A must use. Trainer: Dexter got along great with him at Chester. He's not the easiest horse to drive, so a good driver means a lot to him.
6 LEAR SEELSTER Doing great work of late up at home base. Barn brought a few here this weekend, and none of them are in easy spots. Same thing here. Is sophomore good enough to stick with these? I guess we're going to find out.
7 BROOKIES PRINCE N Barn's other starter ran into Blood Line last at Yonkers, so let's not be too hard on him. Trainer listed Sears on both, but he's not here. Horse looks like stone closer, so he's totally at mercy of pace and trip.
8 SANTIAGO STYLE Sometimes we have to guess when this guy is in the right spot. I'm going no for tonight.
9 BRUCE'S MAGIC Bruce has made a career out of class drops and pops like this. He's overcome posts like this before too! I certainly wouldn't talk you off him, if you want to bet. But, it won't be easy tonight. Price likely short as well.
10 JACKSRLUCKYTOO Jack back to his favorite track, but he does seem buried in a real bad spot from post 10. I just don't see him reaching from way out here, but ya never know. He's beaten me a few times in the past.

1 ROCKIN CELEBRATION Was facing infinitely better while buried over at Pocono. Is this the spot they've been waiting for? Maybe. It's never easy for a 3YO to beat older, grizzled veterans, but don't be shocked by top effort. Likes mile.
2 SOUTHWIND INDY Usually not too bad when he draws a decent post like this. Yes, I see that he's faced weaker recently, but this isn't a bad spot for The Mann to sit in, save ground, and shake loose late. A maybe.
3 CREDIT RISK Looks like he didn't have an easy trip down at Philly last time, but still charged home willingly. That catches the eye. Corey knows him now too! Drew good post. Has a touch of class in race of question marks.
4 RATHER SWELL Did manage to win a race here this year, so that does come into account in a race like this. Many recent starts saw him in too tough. IF you were searching for a big price chance, this could be your play.
5 WINDSONG JACK One of the many in here trying to pull off the drop and pop. Jack likes the track here in NJ, and Brett opted for him over #9. Have to pay attention to that choice. Return to form coming from ideal post?
6 SHOW ME UP Had several good starts over this oval this year. I always pay heed when either Derue ships down fro the Spa. They're dangling this guy for $10K claimer here. I imagine there might be some interest. We'll see.
7 ONE BAD SHOT Shows a tiring line finishing sixth just three days ago. I don't think that sets him up well here.
8 BETTER BANGBANG It's always dangerous to ignore Mr. Bucci when he comes here. Odd spot for a 3YO, but you have to race them somewhere. Hasn't done anything since shipping east. When will he wake back up? I don't know.
9 WINDSONG GORGEOUS With all the 3YO's in here, how about a grizzled veteran 11YO? Gorgeous knows his way around Club Med, but this post could be a killer. Recent form is flat. Another needing a big wakeup call.
10 STRATOCASTER Talk about the bad post blues! Draws the 10 tonight. Almost not fair, but it is what it is. Can gelding overcome this spot? I think not.
10 Tenth Race Entries

1 MACHMEMACKIE Nice looking newcomer to the Big M and we can see he likes a big track! AND, he likes to win! That's good combo. Drew the rail, and gets speed driver in The Captain. Lots to like in this spot. Race goes thru him.
2 HICKORY TERRIFIC One of several for this barn firing back on short rest. IF any of them have raced well this weekend, take an extra look. The key here is the post. Only has to sit in behind #1 and try to keep up. That might work.
3 SUNSHINESOMEWHERE Finds himself in a prime drop-and-pop spot tonight. I know it's been a LONG time between dances (0-22) this year, but this is nice spot and he was Brett's choice. Will have to grind it out vs. #1, but maybe he can.
4 ONE MORE MIRACLE The Mann finished a good, strong second with this fella at 8-1 on Tuesday at Pocono, so that's a good thing. Horse definitely "needed" that race after being sick. Plots for nice stalking trip here. Can be used.
5 CHARMBO CURIOSITY We've seen his act here many times before. Have to give credit where due. Owns seven wins this season. He can go either way, so versatility helps. I can make a case that he gets close tonight. Pretty usable.
6 WESTERN REDHOT I don't know what happened last month, but it seems he's come back okay. That's a pretty game start at Freehold with that rough trip. Is he sitting on a big one? I'm going to guess no, but maybe I'm wrong.
7 ROCKIN GLORY Current form is simply dull, so he's a pass from an outer post tonight.
8 CC BIG BOY SAM Jumps up with a good one every now and then. He also exits a very tough trip, but dead game effort. That catches the eye, folks. My problem for tonight is the post. Horse is more than capable, if he can get into it.
9 DANISH DILIGENCE Never really one of my favorites. Can only win if the race totally falls apart. Not likely with #1.
10 RASCAL FLATTER Chased #1 last time to no avail, and now he's forced to do it from post 10. That's probably not going to work out well. Maybe he'll pick off a few late for a minor share.
11 Eleventh Race Entries
Picks: 4-7-2-5
H Horse Comment
1 SUPER S YZERMAN Doesn't win very often, but when he does, it's usually memorable. Keyed that mandatory pay Super Hi 5 earlier this year. Is he likely to key this Hi 5? No. Not in good form right now.
2 CAMWISER 13YO iron horse comes up with a good one every now and then. Eric A chose him here, over #8, so that's a plus. The post helps. Sits, stalks and tries to get lucky late. Can pick up a piece.
3 SHANGHAI KANG MIA too long and wasn't in good form prior to that. Looks like a pass in this spot.
4 JOJO JOVE Had MANY good starts over this oval earlier this year, and he returns off a nice confidence builder. Gets the Captain back in the seat and all systems are go. Looks like the one to beat, from a very key inner post. Must use.
5 ADMIRAL IF you want to take a shot against #4, this may be an option. I think this is a touch weaker field than he's been facing. He exits a VERY fast mile and he kept up. Gets an uber aggressive pilot. Will also be on go early.
6 HOPE FOR BADLANDS Had Brett Miller opted here, I would probably like a little more. He's driven this guy a few times, but chooses #7 tonight. Maybe he's looking at that 0-15 record this year? Or looking at #7's 11-38?
7 MAJOR STARLIGHT We can never fault an 11-win season. Won first crack off the claim and then just went around there from bad post. This post isn't great, but if Super Brett chose, then I will use. It's as simple as that sometimes.
8 FRANKIE BOY Frankie has some good moments at times, but Eric A didn't take him tonight. I'm not in love with the post, but know that he can leave if pilot wants. I wouldn't leave off ticket completely, but I won't key either.
9 ITSNOPROBLEMMAN Just 1-23 this year. Seems to lack speed. Drew a bad post and is stepping up. Not for me.
10 TWINCREEK'S JESSE Another one that doesn't tend to do his best work from a post like this. Let's pass and watch closely for future evaluation.
