1 MI NINA BONITA Raced pretty well in her first start for the new connections. That wasn't an easy trip and she did keep marching forward. The pole post, plus Bartlett should keep her within range. Can be used at a price here. Trainer: Raced game at Chester. Little filly. Big heart!
2 ALII NUI Looks like the longshot in here, based on her less-than-stellar recent form spree. May not pack much early speed, so I'm looking for a sit-in, save ground type of trip. Only needs pass one for a check.
3 JK AMERICAN BEAUTY Was good enough to make the sires stakes final and did not disgrace herself. Followed that up with the perfect confidence booster down at Freehold. This is solid step back up, but may handle it. Trainer: Very consistent filly that has really been racing well. First start back on a bigger track in a while, but should be just fine.
4 LOVE AT FIRST BITE Homebred Sweet Lou filly for Team Takter is gaining experience each time. Note that she shows up each time too! Only managed one win so far, and it did come against lesser. This is good test for class.
5 DARN TOOTN HANOVER Did well enough in the late closer week one at Red Mile to take a shot vs. better. Wasn't quite up to that task, but that mile went in 51! This mile won't be so fast. The added Lasix is helping. Very usable.
6 ALKIPPE Homebred for the Enviro guys shows up at Club Med with a solid record so far. She's got speed, and will need it to overcome the post. I don't see Tim taking back here, so he'll need to save something for late. Needs a bit more stamina.

H Horse Comment
1 SHEER ACTION A six-time winner this year, but I imagine all of them at Monti. This is a brand new ballgame when you come here. I know nothing about the pilot, so I'll just rate this horse a longshot needing more speed.
2 LANDONFITZ We've all seen Landon here many times, and he returns in just the right spot too! I like the post and possibility for price. This one, I would include on my tickets. Should get a nice trip from this slot for Mr. Campain.
3 LOOKOUT JJ Well-traveled of late, but without much success. Have to rate her a longshot with these. Pass.
4 HE'S A CASTOFF Another that is familiar to Big M fans. Capable of some solid speed at times, but doesn't always finish off those miles. That's why he's just 2-37 this year. Lots of starts, though!
5 ROCKIN REDFORD You just never know what you're going to get from this guy! Could be anything from a five-length romp, to a break. I don't imagine the price will be that big, so why not take a shot against? I will.
6 AVENTURE This race does have the look of one setting up for a closer, and this would probably be your best sweep candidate. The midpack post should keep him within range and if they mix it up early, watch out late. He can fly.
7 URIEL Making his 29th start of year for Ms. Stoebe. She'll be gas-pedaling it out of the gate here and could go a LONG way. She's done it before with this horse. Will he "appreciate" return to mile track? We'll find out.
8 MR RIDGETAKER Coming out of same races as #1. Can't really like that miscue last time. Outside post. I'll pass.
9 HIGH BLUE Coming off long layoff, and a scratch. That's not good. Neither is post nine. Definitely a longshot.
10 DANISH DURANGO Clearly the "key" to the race, folks! We all know he's got the class to blow these away, but it IS still post 10 and early speed isn't usually his best weapon. However, pilot never takes back. Will have to get a trip. Trainer: Been facing much tougher, but draws dreaded 10 post. Tough spot to overcome.
3 Third Race Entries

1 ROCK N MCROLL Wonderfully bred filly might just be tailing off? Tired at 2-5 two back. Wasn't really keeping up in the stakes last time. Has the rail here, so I suspect Timmy will try to get a trip again. Let's see if she kicks in late.
2 WHAT A FOX A big welcome back to driver Dexter Dunn! Last seen here seven years ago, the 29 year old, 10-time New Zealand driving champion is back! Put a nice drive on this filly for Pelling two back. That's the ticket, folks!
3 UNDER THE HOOD Qualified just three days ago to get ready for this. Surick recently took over and she sure had an eventful trip at Pocono. I have a feeling she'll get good, but I just don't know if it will be tonight. Your call? Trainer: Would have won first start in barn if not wiped out on last turn. Tuesday qualifier was good, tightened her up.
4 A BEACH COWGIRL Upset the apple cart at 40-1 two back. Followed that up with another nice speed try, so this filly is getting good now too! Corey drove her to the win, and he's back in the seat. You know she'll go when they say GO!
5 SWEET LUCY LOU Coming along slowly for Camp Swick and that's okay. She's stuck in a bad spot from this post, possibly getting away last. Will need a little "mayhem' to rally into. That's happened before.
6 MICHELON'S FILLY No match for the Grand Circuit fillies at the Red Mile, but she didn't race badly! I'll add that she won strongly at Tioga in Kindergarten div. at Tioga. Showed speed that day. Will surely be aggressive again.
4 Fourth Race Entries

1 WAYWARD MAN Newly on Lasix, but not sure it's helping just yet. Had to requalify off the break and I guess I'm not ready to hop on board this boat yet. Let's see if he stays trotting tonight.
2 DARTY Did manage to win one, in large upset fashion. Picked up checks in two stakes after that, so that's not bad. Probably a good work-in-progress for John B, but definitely on the improve. Let's see if likes the mile track.
3 SOVEREIGN DEO Looks like a buyback by breeders. Note he's already been gelded. I see brief and spotty moments of ability, but I'd need to see a big one before I could bet. Will be watching closely for future evaluation.
4 APOCALYPSE Trotted his best mile in a qualifier here, so note that. Had a few "issues" navigating the half at Freehold, but shows up back here for barn that's on fire. Don't be shocked if this guy turns in a decent effort tonight.
5 TRIXAR Hasn't really come that close yet, so I can't get too excited about his chances in here. I will pass for now.
6 REVE TOUJOURS Barn's "other" starter clearly has more speed. He was WAY overmatched against Cantab and Battenberg in the stake, and followed it up with nice confidence builder. Will be part of early speed at very least.
7 NO DRAMA PLEASE Well, I don't really know what to tell you here. When he trots, he's pretty good. I don't really like the post, so take a good LONG look at him scoring down before you decide. Faces instant pressure at the gate.
8 SUPER SCHISSEL Does seem to "lay" over these on class, coming off a Grand Circuit win. Offered a good challenge to Green Manalishi before that! Seems versatile enough to give Andy Mac options. That makes for dangerous foe.

1 HALLINTHECLOUDS Looks like she got a little sick in the summer. It happens. Back with a nice qualifier and a good trip around the track at Pocono. IF she likes the mile track, could be part of this from the rail. Will save ground.
2 SISTER'S PROMISE Not sure what happened at The Red Mile, other than she just stopped. That makes me VERY wary of her tonight. Maybe she just doesn't like the lead? Broke in the Peaceful Way. Have to be very careful here tonight.
3 CAN'T TOUCH IT Can't really say she had any excuses at Philly. Got collared late. I doubt she'll be on the lead here, so different trip may help. Obviously, we can see the pedigree. Eligible to improve at any time. Will get there soon.
4 MAGICAL BELIEFS A pretty powerful pair here for Team Toscano. I'm sure they would have preferred to be in separate divisions, but oh well! Also coming off a clunker in last, so I'm not sure what to do? Tough call. New driver.
5 TRICK OR TREAT Will have to prove that she can just stay trotting. Hasn't done it that often yet. I'll pass.
6 BIG WEEZY Not a bad filly here! Just a $25K buy and she's never missed the board! That's rare. Seems versatile too, so watch for Dexter to make something happen here. Do NOT leave off your tickets, folks. She'll grind in somehow.
7 MARVELOUSTRIX Has had a few good moments thus far as a freshman. What I don't like tonight is the post. She'll need a bit of luck to get involved from way out here. It can happen, but no guarantees. A longshot.
8 QUEEN OF TRIXS Looks like a bit of a slow starter, so when you draw post eight, that makes the task that much tougher. I DO like what I see in that last start, however. If the faves aren't ready, who knows! Maybe sweeps field.

1 STELLA JANE Homebred for Camp Crawford is developing nicely for John B. Put it all together with nice stakes win down at Philly. I feel she'll like the big track too! Raced well in NYSS at Vernon. Getting good at end of season. Trainer: Hoping for good effort to determine rest of year. Has some go. Will continue in Kindergarten, or Bree Crown possibility.
2 AMERICAN KRONOS Hard to fault this filly so far. She's won every start, except when she broke, and she had real tough trip that day. The post will help. Not an easy task here, but definitely the one to beat for Team Orange Crush.
3 TRELANNY Turned things around in her two most recent starts. They did come at Freehold, so she will need another gear here, but I like fillies that are on the improve and this barn's super hot right now. Don't be shocked if races well.
4 SOUTHWIND PERCY Yes, that's FIVE second-place finishes. No, I don't really like that, as a bettor, but okay if you own her. I DO like the 28 speed she showed last time at Philly. Expect the speed, and then a good trip. Very usable.
5 GIVEN Put the hopples on after she left here and didn't get any faster. Maybe Andy Mac will get her to go? He's done that before, but it's hard to predict.
6 MISS TRIXTON Hasn't quite lived up to her impeccable pedigree yet, but the war's not over. She's gotten a little bit faster recently and I do feel she'll be better on the big track. Chance to improve and show more here.
7 JEZZYS LEGACY Interesting spot for Ramblin Ray here. Filly does have speed, when she wants to play. There isn't a ton of speed in here, so if she feels good behind gate, Ray will send her. Any good trip and she can compete.
8 FLOS CONCH SHACK Was lucky enough to avoid trouble and cruise down at Freehold. This will be a LOT tougher, especially from this post. However, she does have experience and that will help. Might pick off a few late.

1 SOUL STRONG So far, not the best colt out of this barn this year. Still working on those breaking issues. Pass.
2 THUNDER This is a VERY nice horse here, folks. That's why Jason B is here tonight! Gave Gim a real "run for the money" over at Yonkers and I liked what I saw. Note how fast he went on big track at Vernon. The one to beat, folks! Trainer: Hoping for good effort to determine rest of the year. Seems fine. Will continue in Kindergarten, or possibly Breeders Crown.
3 DIVINE SPIRIT MIA for a few weeks sick, so that is always a problem. With that said, he's shown precocious talent. I need to see one here first, of course. I will be watching.
4 GANGNAM STYLE K S Homebred has slowly improved along the way, so that's a good thing. However, this spot is way too tough to debut in. Let's see if he can keep up.
5 GALIXTON Third entrant for the barn in here. Perhaps the best of the three. Shows a nice qualifier after getting sick. I don't think he can win, but I am anxious to see if he competes, and stays trotting.
6 COTTON TO YOU Did have that one good start here, so that always makes you look again. Couple months off, probably due to no stakes. Came back with okay qualifier and race. Maybe time to see more? We'll find out.
7 CHEAP TRICKS Yes, that was a two-horse race at Freehold, so he scored, even after the miscue. Had a few nice efforts in stakes events earlier this summer. Not completely out of this, but in need of a good bounce-back with no breaks.
8 MUSCLE STAR Looks to me like he squandered a pretty good trip at Philly. That is NOT going to be enough to threaten here, not to mention another bad post. On the outside, looking in tonight. I'd be surprised if he won.
9 CHAPTER FASHION Clearly the biggest threat to #2, but what's happened lately? Jim C barn is having a wonderful year, and I'm sure he'd like to turn this guy back in the right direction. The talent is there, if he can get head back on straight returning to a bigger track. Watch out!

1 ROCK MY MUSCLES That's a much improved effort in that stakes last time. Had a tough trip and didn't exactly "pack it in." I like that. Wasn't Andy Mac's choice here, but from rail, he'll be okay. Sits, stalks, and hopes to get lucky late.
2 WINNING HABIT He hasn't quite lived up to expectations yet, but there's always time. Looked like he was on the improve until that last break. I'm anxious to see what he has to offer tonight. Must stay trotting, at very least.
3 CAVILL HANOVER Was good enough to make the sires stakes final and then squandered that good post. Wasn't exactly exploding at Vernon before that, so I do wonder if he's tailed off. Not the type I could put on top, folks.
4 GERRIS TRIX Hasn't won yet, but hasn't been bad yet either. This will be significant test for class tonight, switching over to the big track. Nice test for his pilot too! Let's see if he can pick up a check with a good trip tonight.
5 LUCKY WEEKEND Looks like he suddenly got very good recently. Followed the Philly win with a big trip out at Red Mile. Was that a fluke? Or, is he really putting it all together? I guess we'll find out. Scotty Z takes the call.
6 BATTENBERG Been banging heads with the best ALL season, so this is class relief. I loved the speed he showed in Lex, so there's NO doubt the Lasix is helping. Some main threats drew further outside. Will be the one to catch tonight. Trainer: Maturing as the year goes on. Addition of Lasix has helped him finish his miles.
7 CAPTAIN KRUPNIK Tough to get a real read on this fella right now. Just shows too many breaks for me. Pass.
8 SEVEN HILLS John B has a lot of horses developing nicely towards the end of the season. This could be another. He started a little late, but each start has been a better one. Gets the acid test here, and from a really tough post. Trainer: Hoping for a good effort here. Has some go and this start will determine plans for rest of year.
9 MEMO Have to note that Andy Mac took himself OFF #1,4,5 to drive this one, even though not listed. That's a big call! Clearly has the speed to get involved early and he's also come around nicely. Has to be used, despite post.

1 CENTURY FERRARI Didn't show much in his debut, and now shows up two months later with good qualifier. Was he sick? Sometimes that happens. I will also note that Marcus ends up on this guy, over #8,11. That surprised me.
2 SOUTHWIND OZZI Tim's choice of three hasn't done anything wrong yet and could be any kind. Nice pedigree. Interesting grinding style of racing, so we'll have to work on that. Nice post in big field. Will be coming late for sure!
3 JK CAPTAIN JACK A little late to get going, but there is some talent here. That last start was a solid and quick mile, so no disgrace that he sat in and kept up. The subsequent scratch has me worried a little, but it was post 10? Maybe.
4 FLAMEPROOF HANOVER Been just fair so far. So, until I see a significant turn up of the jets, I will pass.
5 NO ORDINARY MAN As previously stated, barn has a lot of late bloomers this year. After a poor first qualifier, things have gotten a lot better since. First start was good foundation. Is he THIS good? Not sure. This is asking a lot.
6 REIGNING DEO Beat a VERY good field in the sires stakes final at Yonkers. That was no easy task! I respect that, but I do wonder if maybe the small track is his thing. The Vernon mile was just okay. Will have to go a little faster here.
7 MAC'S POWER Had Tetrick opted here, I'd probably be taking a longer look. Silva gets this one for Snyder, and they've hooked up for a lot of success in the past. Clearly quick enough, based on the Wdb efforts. Can be used.
8 MEETMEATTHEDANCE Already 0-10, so that's an issue. Drew poorly, so that hurts too! Marcus on another. Why?
9 SKIP TO MY LOU Slow starters draws a terrible post in a big and bulky field. That doesn't usually lead to success.
10 MOUNTAIN HIGH Had this guy drawn a better post, you'd probably take a longer look. Corey did opt off, so that doesn't help either. I like the look of his last two at Lex. Can he somehow find a way into the race? That's question.
11 MEYER ON FIRE Homebred son of a horse that loved long stretch here. Clearly hasn't done anything wrong yet, but I have to believe he's facing a higher quality of opponent here. Why isn't Marcus on this one? I don't know.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 7-10-5-3
H Horse Comment
1 THE GIRLS OF IMAGE Very tough to figure out current form, right? I see she gets bet a lot, but in reality, that 0-18 record sticks out badly. I guess this is spot for Andy Mac fans at a price. Would need dramatic improvement.
2 CAREER FAMILY Finally paid off when dropped to the bottom at Freehold, second on Lasix. Does that make her a win candidate here? I doubt it. This race has 1:53 written all over it and she's never gone that fast. Your call?
3 OUR ELS DREAM N Outmuscled for the money up at the Spa. It's not usually a good thing when you get beat at 1-5. Won't be that low here, and I will add she likes this track. I wouldn't hesitate to put her on my tickets from this post.
4 GINGER SPICE N Found the class hike a bit much last time. This is certainly no bargain here either. Just one lonely win in each of last two seasons. Hard to get excited about her chances.
5 DAENERYS HANOVER Gets the "reluctant' call as favorite, mostly due to Timmy's presence and fact that she's won here this year. In this field of question marks, she's likely to be overbet, and she's no lock. I'll probably go against.
6 AIRBORNE HANOVER Odd spot for a 3YO, but you have to race them somewhere. Comes out of races that were faster than this, so any kind of turnaround and she might be a factor at a square price. Needs the right trip too!
7 GIVEMEYOURHEART She's also won here this year, so keep that in mind. Up and down the class ladder a lot. Andy knows her, so I do expect an aggressive attempt here. Figures to offer the better price than #5, so go ahead.
8 PANCAKES Down from Mass on short rest. I'm not usually a fan of that. I also see that she's faced weaker along the way. I guess I'd be surprised if she jumped up and beat these. However, it's not a field of killers. Your call?
9 BAD NIGHT MARE The nightmare here is the post! Basically looks like she can't get out of her own way early and that's a problem from post nine. Not sure how, but Scotty Z will have to get her into it, one way or another.
10 SHEER TALENT VERY tough call here from post 10. IF you tell me Vinny will blast her out, I will tell you to use her. However, in past when she's drawn bad posts, it's not a good thing. Maybe I'll let the tote board give me clues.
