H Horse Comment
1 CODE WORD A little flat when last seen a couple weeks ago. Gets the same inside post, but will have to turn up the jets a bit to get any closer. Overall, recent form just hasn’t been there. Maybe a new driver will help?
2 DANCING RUSTY Reclaimed by barn, so that’s always a good sign. Was ridiculously overbet and had a tough trip in that last loss. Can Rusty bounce back from his old home? Maybe. I like the post. And Marcus gets along with him.
3 IN YOUR EYE Down from Monti for a big track try. The Mann wouldn’t bother bringing him, unless he thought the horse could do. He’s a grinder. Might be usable in here as a very live longshot. Consider.
4 MODERN YANKEE Figured to “need” that first start back from the dreaded post 10. We can always forgive that. Note that they drop him a tick in price, and listed Yannick. That’s sign of positive intent. Might even take some tote action.
5 SPORTS COWBOY I just haven’t seen enough from this guy to warrant extra consideration. I’ll just pass again.
6 ABBEYLARA It took a while, but gelding eventually kicked in with his solid rally last time. He probably needed that race, after missing a little time. I can make a case that he’s the one to beat in here, with Romance stuck out in pp9. Trainer: Raced very well last week. Dull cover cost him winning. But, he hasn’t had the best week, could be getting sick.
7 MEDOLAND JATE These bad posts are catching up to him. Used very hard from the nine box last week and tired. Very understandable. His trip to the lead could be a touch easier, if pilot wants. Or, back to the rally strategy.
8 NO TEARS BLUE CHIP Off a break, and a scratch, he looks like a big longshot in here. The post won’t help either.
9 IDEAL ROMANCE Did not enjoy his experience against the 10’s, so quickly back in where he belongs. This is worst post drawn in a while, so that gives me pause. Will probably take a shot and swing against tonight.
10 BUCKEYE IN CHARGE Another that just hasn’t done much in a long time. Looks like an easy pass out of post 10.

H Horse Comment
1 SUPER FREEKEH Scoots his way up the NJ Turnpike for a big track try. Not sure why? Looks overmatched.
1A BET THE DRAGON Waiting on a wakeup call here, on horse that has shown ability here before. It just looks like he’s working back into shape. Tonight’s problem is the dreaded post 10 and that’s not going to work. Wait for softer spot.
2 SPEED TO MARKET I like this horse! And he’s finally getting into a regular racing schedule. Gets much needed post relief to go along with that solid speed. Andy gets along with him. Definitely a usable, live longshot in here. In sale! Trainer: Was in sale at Harrisburg, but withdrew due to sickness. Been healthy since, but haven’t been able to get raced on consistent basis. Been racing okay, just a little flat finishing. Trained good this week and should get good trip inside.
3 REBEL ROUSER The Rouser got a week off, after the hard-fought win at 1-9. He did have to work that night. Takes the obligatory step up in class and this will be no easy spot. I like what I’ve seen, but he’ll need even more to threepeat.
4 DUCKIES DYNASTY Really nice horse here too! He’s versatile. He tries hard. Probably in need of an easier journey vs. a field like this, but it’s not out of the question. Vinny will put him in the right spot, and we’ll see if he’s good enough.
5 ALTA SHELBY N Now sports three straight losses at low odds. Drifted out in each of them too, which is not a good sign. If anything, I thought it might be his turn to get a week off. Not so. I’m going to take a stand against tonight.
6 SUNBURST CRUZE Has now had two appearances over the track and neither were anything special. Still a longshot.
7 ALWAYS A BB Added Lasix last time and was still sent off at almost 100-1. Didn’t make any moves. Stuck outside again. I don’t have a whole lot of positive to report here. We simply need to see more go before we can bet.
8 JK MUSICMAN Now here’s the horse to watch in here! Sale bound, super live last time, but that trip was impossible. This is actually a slight drop, but it’s not easy. Will hook up with #3,9 at some point, then we’ve got a race! Loses Dex.
9 DECLAN SEELSTER Really can’t fault this guy right now either! Racing his eyeballs out over past month or so. This bad post stinks, but he’s got enough speed to overcome it. Don’t even think about leaving him off the ticket.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 4-5-8-9
H Horse Comment
1 VICTORYDAZE WILWIN Yes, he finally got a little closer to the winner’s circle last week, but I didn’t like to see him bearing out that far! He was literally closer to the winner’s circle! Rail draw now. Will sit close. Still needs bigger kick.
2 MAY I CRUISE WEST Finds his way back to the big track after a needed confidence booster. He does have a few good miles here in the past, but conservative handling required in spot like this. Sits in and saves ground early.
3 FRANKIE BOY Dex had Frankie fired up last time! A real hot pace and a little hard to control. Extra week off. Back in similar spot with new pilot. Not sure what to expect, but I’d like to see him save some of that speed for late. Maybe.
4 WEBMASTER HANOVER I guess if there was ever a good spot to wake back up in, this is it! Huge class drop. Second time on Lasix. A switch to the Captain. All systems say go! Let’s hope horse gets the memo and delivers.
5 BIG STRETCH MARK I liked him in that spot last week and Eric had him in the right spot. Unfortunately, horse got very tired! Maybe sloppy track hurt? That’s my only excuse, because he usually delivers with that trip. Bounce back?
6 DEEPFAVE HANOVER Struggled in that claimer, where he probably didn’t belong. He’s in the sale! Back to a much more reasonable spot here and I guess he could bounce back, but I’ve had enough of chasing him. Will let him beat me.
7 NOBLES FINESSE Just not in good form right now. I watched very closely again last week and he came to a walk. I would have a tough time predicting a massive turnaround, but that’s what he would need. We need some signs.
8 MASTER OF PUPPETS After that dull streak, and some sickness, it appears this guy has rounded back into form. He won a couple of these last year over this track, and Andy might have been aboard. Expect a big try despite post.
9 BETTOR’S WESTERN Still suffering a case of the bad post blues right now! These posts hurt! Even when you drop in class like this. I made him tepid favorite, but would want better odds to take a shot. It’s your call, folks! Trainer: Should like the class drop.
10 ALL ABOUT RUSTY This Rusty gets slammed with post 10 for second straight week. That’s almost not fair!
4 Fourth Race Entries

1 INCREDIBLE SHARK The Shark put it ALL together with that steamroll win two weeks ago. I’d been waiting for that kind of effort. He headlines this entry, since the Dust hasn’t hit top form yet. Let’s see if he handles slight step up.
1A STONEDUST I guess it’s going to take some time before we see the “real” Dust step up? Maybe it’ll be the slight class drop. Gets a new driver tonight in Mitch but horse will need more than he showed last time. Tough call.
2 TACT TATE N Supposedly, some equipment was changed last week to fix the steering “issue.” Guess what? It didn’t work, and he still looked pretty hot out on the track. No idea what to expect here, but definitely check for changes.
3 ROCK THE NITE Want a good, live price play? This could be it. Been buried in some real tough spots of late, except for that one win. But, this post is ideal, and Corey is a perfect fit. Barn still rolling strong. Lots of reasons to like in here.
4 DECISION DAY Nap had this guy in good spot last week, but lacked that knockout punch. Oh well! Maybe this level is just a tad too high for him? I think so. I’ll go with that and rate him a longshot again. Will have to find more somehow.
5 ODDS ON LAUDERDALE Won like the “International Good Thing” last week. It was solid step in the right direction. Was buried in all sorts of traffic start before that. But, this is a BIG step up, folks. He’s got to prove it! Lures Andy off #7.
6 HIGHLANDBEACHYCOVE Did not have much luck with that trip in Big M debut, and note that it was three weeks ago! Why the missed time? Maybe he just didn’t get in? Regardless, horse is a fit at this level, if barn has him cranked.
7 WINNING LINC Picture perfect drive by Andy on what was a good night for him, and the Johnson barn. They’re our weekly award winners as Driver and Trainer of the Week! Steps up now. Moves to tough post, and loses Andy. Good luck!

1 NIALL HANOVER Off a dull debut here, and then a scratch, I think this guy will need another one. At least he gets a decent post this week. Have to wait for some signs of life before we hop on board.
2 SPAGHETTI EDDIE Eddie had everything go his way a couple weeks ago. He practically fell into that win. With that said, it will still serve as a confidence booster. He’s in at the same level, but I guess I’d be surprised if he repeated.
3 CC BIG BOY SAM Gave it a super game try against the 15’s down at the Hold and quickly ships back up the Pike to return here. Also back in for the proper tag. Drew a good, inside post and is clearly the one to beat. Short price.
4 FLEM N EM N The Flem came up big, given a heady and aggressive drive from Billy D. He’s not here tonight. They listed Corey, but he opted for #3. Makes sense to me. Will need all of that speed, and equal good luck to scare Sam.
5 LONG BEACH Rolled along at a pretty healthy clip in the slop last week and got run over. Back in for the tag now and definitely fits with these. But, he will need an easier journey than he got on the 22nd. Your call, folks!
6 CHEROKEE RANGER Not much in either of his starts here warrants a longer look. Might just be overmatched?
7 CHEYENNE REIDER Had absolutely no chance last week, but he was pacing up a storm near the end of the mile. Keeps getting slammed with these outside posts. Has to hope we get some action up front, to set up his rally.
8 ROCKAHOLIC Won right off the bat, after that little bit of freshening. Then shipped here and found these a little too much. Stuck outside, but he was Dex’s choice. I still think horse will need a lot more to beat these. Can’t count on that.
9 FOUR STACES Speaking of the bad post blues, how’s this guy drawing lately? Almost not fair. Things did set up nicely for him off that claim, so congrats on that. But, he’s not exactly “rewarded” with this spot, and Corey chose #3.
6 Sixth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 GIACODELIGHT MIA since the Saratoga meet closed. Barn has raced others here, so a little surprised this one didn’t come too! Maybe he’s going to need a race? I will go with that theory and hope I’m right.
2 STRATOCASTER Certainly found the right spot for his return to the mile track. Overpowered that weaker bunch. Now, he’s forced to double jump in class and this won’t be so easy. Sharp horse, however, and he likes the track.
3 REDONKULOUS Can’t really figure this guy out yet. After that superb win, he’s found this level a tad too much. But, in all fairness, neither trip was very good. I guess I’d give him one more chance to shine at this level. Or, wait for a drop.
4 JOE’S BID Joe also finally found the right field! He blew them away too! With that said, he steps back up, but I think he can handle it. He’s not a lock, but should race well again. Inner post is a key to keep him close for Andy. In the sale!
5 ABBEYDORNEY Had an interesting trip in first start back here. Fern left a little, caught a seat and then got shuffled. I think the horse will benefit from that acclimating mile and could be sneaky good in here. IF price is right, I would use.
6 ELECTRIC WESTERN Looks like the other prime time player in here. Off two straight tough trips, he’s due for a better one. The midpack post will give Yannick options and horse has definitely rounded back into form. Worth a play?
7 NASCAR SEELSTER Yannick had choice, and opted for #6 over this one. I’ve been waiting for some sort of better looking effort out of this guy, but we haven’t gotten it yet. With Yannick off, I am too! Needs to wake back up.
8 TERROR OF THE NITE Somebody took a beating at the betting windows on this one last week. Kyle tried to leave with gelding and he broke! So, I think it might be back to the closing strategy, and this post hurts.
9 RUFO Had his “race over the track.” New barn probably still tinkering with him. Tonight, the post is biggest problem.
10 MCARDLES LIGHTNING Retains large longshot status, having shown very little here so far.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 7-4-1-5

1 CONSTNTLYSIDEWYS A I don’t know what he was doing behind the gate last week, but it wasn’t good. At least he catches a break here, not being handicapped with the outside. It’s time for him to step back up. Forces issue on rail.
2 MINDTRIP Did a lot of the dirty work last week, setting things up for K Ryan. Okay. He proved he can hack it at this level, so that’s a good thing. Will need an easier journey tonight, but has a new driver to help out. In the sale soon!
3 TUXEDO BAY Wow, was he good last week, or what? A real eye-catcher, but he’s not facing Dull Roar or Decision Day in here tonight. He’s facing the best! I guess I’d be surprised if he jumped up and beat a field like this. We’ll see.
4 NEW TALENT Used pretty hard early in the slop and paid the price late. I can forgive that. We’re looking at a fast track tonight and after being overbet, the Talent might offer the right value here. I’ll use and give another chance.
5 STARZNHEAVEN Can’t fault this fella right now! He’s good! Came flying home from a tough spot, hot on the heels of K Ryan. Draws one spot inside that foe again and will try to get the jump on him. Still needs somebody to soften up Joe.
6 K RYAN BLUE CHIP Won three of his last four. All in sterling fashion! Despite some tough posts, things have worked out nicely with the setups. One night soon, his luck may run out. I suspect he’ll get away last in here. Not easy spot.
7 GEEZ JOE After a couple of monster wins here, Joe got a couple weeks off. He earned them! So, he comes back tonight, handicapped with outside post. Shouldn’t matter, as he can leave any way Marcus wants. Still the one to beat!

1 DULL ROAR Pretty sharp here over his last three starts, but hasn’t gotten lucky to win yet. Corey was listed on three in here, and opted to stick with this guy. That tells us a lot! Gets both post and class relief. Would be hard to leave out.
2 MCTHRILLER Might have been the only horse in this barn that didn’t race well last week! The rest were super! Like #1, gelding gets much needed post and class relief. That should wake him back up. Another must use from this slot.
3 ALL WEEK They’ve had this guy on the bench since Philly closed. That may have been by design. He had worked his way too high in class anyway. This is good spot to start back, but he will need a race or two before we see best.
4 IDEAL JIMMY I had a feeling he would be overbet last week and that was the case. That race didn’t work out for him, as it was won up front. I will add a few points if Tuxedo did well in the Preferred. This race will have different flow to it.
5 WHITTAKER N The King of the Longshot, Eric C got us good with this one! The perfect sit in, save ground kind of steer. Kudos for that. But, if you didn’t go to the wedding, don’t go to the ??. You know what I mean. Needs same luck.
6 IWILLMAKEYOUSAYWOW Wow is forced to take his third straight hike in class. This is usually where it gets a little tough for him, but I will admit he’s razor sharp! That good speed can get him a good spot here. He will keep up late.
7 BUSHWACKER The Bush just can’t catch a break and win one of these things! Another top notch effort and another photo finish loss. This is toughest post he’s drawn in a while, so that will test out the Double D. Must get this guy a trip.
8 DASH OF DANGER Squandered what I thought was a pretty good trip three weeks ago. Where’s he been? Pass.
9 JOHNNY Q Johnny is razor sharp right now too! But, now Johnny loses the good post, and it’s going to hurt. I don’t envision him leaving, and I don’t see him sweeping from last, even though he’s done it before. Tough call.
10 DREAMFAIR MESA I guess we can make the case that this guy has just tailed off a touch. He’s not exactly loaded with early zip either, so this is no easy spot. Have to rate him a medium longshot from a post like this.
9 Ninth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 TIE YOUR SHOE ED Crawled home in the slop at Freehold last week and got caught. All his prior races here saw him lacking a knockout punch. I don’t think he can win, but if he sits and saves ground, maybe he can hit the ticket.
2 SISKEL I liked him last time, and that trip wasn’t going to work out. This is now an additional class drop, a switch to Corey and the ideal spot for third back off layoff. All of that spells bet! Impossible for me to go against tonight.
3 LIFE HAPPENED I guess if you think #2 is vulnerable in any way, you could opt here. Overall, horse has been a big disappointment, however. I’m not ready to hop back on board his boat just yet. Will need to find a much bigger kick.
4 JK PARLAY Here’s a horse that can jump up and surprise you at times. Probably needed that last one here and he wasn’t bad. Gets a better post. Owns plenty of versatile speed. And, gets Andy back. All systems say go!
5 SMILEANDSAYCHEESE It’s hard to get a real handle on this one at the moment. All recent races are downright flat. But, they’ve probably been waiting for class relief like this. IF he were to take any better action, maybe we consider?
6 PRETTY BOY SWAG The Pretty Boy has had plenty of chances here and hasn’t gotten it done yet. Gets another outer post, after flashing speed. But, it’s the finish that needs to improve. We haven’t seen the needed kick here.
7 THAT’S MY OPINION Found that higher level just a little too much, and it was a shame, because Nap had him in good spot. Inches back down one notch, but gets a tough post. I can make a case, but he’ll need another good trip.
8 ROUGH ODDS Is it wakeup call time yet? He’s now had two easy starts under his belt. He did finish with better “interest” last week. The track should be fast tonight. We have to guess, but the time is coming soon.
9 QUALITY BUD It’s been a tough couple months if you’ve been following the Bud. Absolutely folded last time and guess what? Even his main man, Eric A bails out now. That is NOT a good sign. This is not a good post.
10 SPORTSMANSHIP He was actually sneaky good last week from a very tough spot, but I do believe his chances are just ruined by this post. Unless you tell me we’re getting mayhem in here, he’ll be too far back again.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 9-7-4-1
H Horse Comment
1 SURFING TIDE Enters off another super display and strong finish to win again! That’s two-for-two off the layoff, and looking perfect heading into the Mixed Sale on the 21st. If he beats these, his value goes up even more. Nice horse!
2 FOX VALLEY HIJINX Kyle tried to get him into a race last week and they ended up scratching. He’s not ready. Pass.
3 ANNIHILATION This was A Nap’s choice over 6,8,10. Significant. Maybe the better post? Either way, gelding has raced well in both starts here. Caught some traffic last time. He’ll be grinding into this, chasing the faves late.
4 MAJOR AUTHORITY That was some tough field he caught two weeks ago, and he did too much of the dirty work. Barn still going very well and I think this guy will race well again tonight. Might even offer the right value. Speed!
5 OLDE BROADSIDE Did a little better in the second go here. I love the midpack post, and there could be a LOT of action in this, with favorites outside. If you think we’ll get mayhem, go ahead and include on your tickets. At price.
6 JUMPING JAKE It’s tough to like them all, and Jake looks like odd man out. Off layoff and scratch, I’ll pass.
7 WISE IMAGE Can’t possibly fault this horse right now. His speed is strong and he wants to fight you! I like him a lot, and so do connections, I imagine. Will be charging out again, but maybe sits trip this week. That would help. Trainer: Just got outpaced finishing by a better horse. I thought he raced good!
8 LETJIMMYTAKEOVER Clearly needed his last, and didn’t get lucky at the post draw here. Have to pass again.
9 MONTY’S PLAY They took a shot entering at Yonkers on Monday and he got stuck with post eight. Quickly re-entered off that tour and he gets post nine now. Do you remember how good he looked on Dec 27? I do. Killer!
10 KEY ADVISOR Also coming out of that very key race where he was not a threat. Looks to be buried in again, especially with post 10. Nothing less than a dream trip will have him in the picture late.
11 Eleventh Race Entries
Picks: 5-1-6-7
H Horse Comment
1 SPICEBOMB The Bomb has been off since the summer, so there is a big question of readiness. That’s a pretty slow qualifier down at Freehold, so I can’t imagine he’s ready to pace in 52. I’ll pass and watch one to gauge for later.
2 BRIGHT FUTURE Boy, it’s tough to get a real handle on this guy right now. After an improved start here, he went to Freehold and burned a lot of cash. I’m guessing he’s better suited for the mile, so right back here. Will need right trip.
3 ANDWIN HANOVER Didn’t show much at long odds in the first few tries here. More coming now? Probably not.
4 KINGSLEY B I can’t really make a strong case here, after watching the first go around. Would need a LOT more.
5 PRETTY BOY HILL Gets the very tepid call as morning line favorite in this race full of question marks. The Pretty Boy has worked his way down the class ladder and seems more than overdue to get healthy. This is the spot.
6 FRANKANDJOANNE Rounded into form nicely down the Turnpike. He’s raced here before and won, so that gives me more reason to use. If that win serves as a confidence booster, he’s a fit with these. Might flash serious speed.
7 SO TAKE THAT Was actually okay in that Limelight Beach race a few weeks ago. But, this guy has zero early speed and it totally at mercy of pace and trip when he draws a post like this. Things would have to go exactly right. Rarely do.
8 LEGION OF BOOM Raced evenly when last seen from an inside post. Now, it’s back to outside slot. A longshot.
9 BUD BAY No wins last year. A recent sick scratch. Unraced for more than a month. And, post nine now. Dismiss.
10 ROCK STAR Corey chose here, over #4, so maybe he liked something from that mile last week. Talk about the bad post blues, though! I don’t know if he can leave, but we’re going to find out. Corey will have to put him in play.
12 Twelfth Race Entries

1 BILBO HANOVER Never really hit a top gear last week. In direct contrast to prior start where he charged home. Maybe it was sloppy track? This race should have a lot of action in it. That would aid his rallying longshot cause.
2 BARIMAH A Overall, doing pretty good work of late. He’s best as a one-move closer, like several others in here. One of them will get the trip and win this, but it’s up to us to try and guess which one! That’s never easy. Very usable.
3 MR CENSI Barn’s only raced one other horse here so far. This one’s been on the shelf since Philly closed. I’d have a tough time banking on the Censi being fully primed and ready. Your call, folks?
4 WAGON MASTER Decent horse here. Especially at a level like this. I liked the speed I saw upon arrival, and sometimes it takes a race to acclimate. Fern’s going to look at this race and probably take a shot again. Send him! Gets a trip.
5 OCEAN COLONY By all rights, he should just crush these, right? I think so. Horse has raced his eyeballs out against many better fields, and it’s finally his turn to shine. Has post edge on Bruce. And the speed edge. Down the road.
6 DUBIOUS CLAIM Guessing he just hated the sloppy track last week, because he was awful. Yes, the big class hike didn’t help either, but something wasn’t right. Have to give him a chance to bounce back on fast surface. Tests #5?
7 WILLIE BOOTS The 11YO Willie isn’t ready for this yet, so he looks like an easy pass. Will race into shape, then drop.
8 BRUCE’S MAGIC Lot of Bruce fans out there and he was rather unlucky to get caught last week. Not helped much by the switch to outside post tonight. That will make Corey use him early. He’ll need something more for late vs. #5.
9 TWINCREEKS JESSE Jesse did a fairly good job of picking up a check last week when forced up in class. That came from a better post, and that’s the problem tonight. Not sure this trip is going to work out as well as that one.
10 MORE DRAGON The Dragon finally begins his descent down the class ladder, but it might take one more drop, and a better post than this to see him entering the fray. I’m going with that theory for now.
13 Thirteenth Race Entries

1 STILL FRISKIE Found a nice, cozy soft spot up at Monti, but now it’s back to the wolves here! Not sure that’s going to work out quite as well, but he does have the rail. Aiming for a sit-in, save ground kind of journey. Could pick up check.
2 DRUNKEN TERROR Makes his first start for new barn off the claim. Wasn’t exactly very good in that start last week, so I have my doubts about his abilities on the price hike. He’ll have to prove it to me first.
3 SUNSET DREAMER Made no moves last week in the slop, so maybe we just toss that race? Slated for first time Lasix here, and in better post. That win was an eye-catcher, so don’t be too quick to toss him out. Back to good grind?
4 P L IDAHO Just not in good form right now and coming off a scratch, so he definitely looks like a pass for me.
5 BAY RUM Eric worked out a nice trip last week and the Bay just kept digging in for the tie. Horse is VERY sharp right now, but we might finally be reaching a little too high for this tag. Let’s see how he goes for his new barn too!
6 REACH FOR INFINITY Up and down the class ladder a lot lately. Even showed some speed two weeks ago. In most cases, I’d say he’s a fit in this group on the mile, but I’d like to see a good one first. Not an easy spot.
7 ITSNOPROBLEMMAN Two-for-two since the claim. Both wins very impressive. Both wins with something left in the tank, so it’s time to bump up his pricetag again. ($17,500) Is he going to be that good again? I wish I knew.
8 BEACHCHIP HANOVER Corey fit this one nicely last week, sailing him out of the gate. Just a hair short late, but that’s his trip. Might have a bit more pure blast than #7, so looping him would be a good start. I can make a case here.
9 OBSCENE BLUE CHIP Chased #7 last week as no match. Gets stuck with the tougher post again, so that’s a problem. His best weapon is the late kick, so hoping for a lot of action in here. That can happen. Sets up that rally.
10 ROGER MACH EM Really don’t know what to do with Roger in here. Obviously, he’s good enough to beat these when right, but this post and potential speed scenario make it real tough. I’d want the right price to include.

1 ROCK ON THE HILL Got lucky three back with that great trip and drive. Hasn’t been that lucky since. Moves all the wa to the rail tonight and gets a new driver in Corey. Corey will be patient and try to get him that smooth trip. Maybe.
2 LINDYTHEFOURTEENTH Hasn’t really been all that effective here yet. Everything else the barn is sending out is firing. Andy had option and took Mike instead. I expected that. Would need to get a little luckier to have upset chance.
3 MAGNUM MIKE For the first time in months, Mike raced bad last week, but we get our answer. First time Lasix tonight! That’s good enough for me, and I expect him to bounce back big. Can’t be left off the ticket again. Trainer: Never fired like I thought he would last week. Post-race vet check showed he bled pretty good. Gave him an easy work week and tonight is first start Lasix. Also gets a drop in class.
4 IDEAL CANDIDATE Can’t remember if this guy has ever been in form like this! He’s going great right now, and was reclaimed by Dailey. Always a good sign. Bumps up a notch in price now and let’s see if he can handle it.
5 WESTERN REDHOT Put it all together nicely for Mitch last week. It was good mile, and nice surprising surge. Gets the ideal midpack post again and it’ll be up to Mitch to put a trip on him. He might leave in this spot. I would.
6 RATHER SWELL Barn’s “other” entrant doesn’t seem as sharp, but he’s also been saddled with some real tough posts. Gets a new driver, with Nap on #4, so let’s rate him a longshot again. Hoping to get lucky from the outer flow.
7 DAVID THE SAINT Went another really big trip last week! That makes two top efforts in a row. But, remember it’s hard to these claimers to do it several times in a row. That, plus he drew outside again. Not much luck there.
8 MCCITO A little inconsistent of late. A good effort here. A flat effort there. You just don’t know what to expect at this point. If he decides to leave, it looks like a long way to the top. Your call, folks? I’m out.
9 WALTZACROSSTHEWIRE Took some sneaky betting action last time and wasn’t very good. Haltered out of that race by Bob and stuck in post nine now, trying to pay dividends. I think I’ll prefer others for the moment.
10 PUMPED UP KICKS Got a week off after a speed, tiring effort. Speed is his weapon but it just might be time to give him one from the back. Either way, a longshot.
