Meadowlands' Little Elected to Hall of Fame

Wednesday, August 22, 2018

Dave Little, Meadowland Racing & Entertainment’s TV host and PR aficionado, has been voted into the Communicators Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame voting is conducted by the U.S. Harness Writers Association (USHWA), with an independent accounting firm tallying and verifying the final results. The general membership of USHWA selects its peers for enshrinement in the Communicators Hall.
Dave Little worked at the New York Daily News as the Racing Editor for 24 years before coming to work for Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment.

Little is the primary co-host (alongside Dave Brower) and occasional host of the track's award-winning nightly simulcast production and “Racing from the Meadowlands” replay show, which can be seen on SportsNet New York (SNY) after a live race card. The long-time harness racing aficionado is responsible for sending out the nightly release that recaps the evening's action.
He has announced at several racetracks, including Historic Track in Goshen NY, and he is a longtime director of USHWA.

Little will be twice-honored for this achievement. He will be feted at USHWA’s annual Dan Patch Banquet held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL, and then on Sunday, July 7, 2019, he will be formally inducted during the annual dinner at the Hall of Fame and Harness Racing Museum in Goshen NY.

“We heartily congratulate Dave on his election into the Communicators Hall of Fame,” said track chief operating officer and general manager Jason Settlemoir. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team and is a valued member of the Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment staff.”
