RACE 1

3-Toss Cartwright – Got caught behind a fading rival, forced to angle out of traffic & finished well for minor spoils in his second start off the bench, draws well again to trip out in a wide open field for Kleinhans

6-Fiji – Just one for 18 this season, yet has twice run into a raging Checkmate Time recently, has ramped up his game, owns a bit of back class, loves this track & adds Joe Lee

7-Winwood Scout – Finished a very energetic second to the streaking Global Revolution after missing a few weeks, was third behind Fiji before that, deserves a long look in current form

RACE 2

3-Diamondstone US – Runner up in last year’s NJSS Final was gathering late momentum before hooking wheels with Ocarina Hanover turning for home, a solid runner up before that & has a big chance to upset

2-Samis Rolin Stone – Has decisively gone two-for-two for Team Minor by simply controlling the pace, fresh off a new mark from the same post she looks like the one to knock off

5-Princess Marxxx – Last year’s NJSS champion is the wild card in here broke after taking the lead last week, while coming off a sick scratch, retains Gingras & has the talent & potential

RACE 3

3-U Need Stones – The 2017 freshman sires stakes champion was well rated & came up a bit shy to the trip sitting Shoshie Deo last week, remains a consistent threat for Team Burke

1-Shoshie Deo – Two-for-two this season, while doing it both ways with The Minister at the lines for the Minor brothers, a major threat to pull off the sweep from the rail

2-Brutal Storm – Steady gelding finished a well-beaten third in both legs, lands post two again & looks to improve further for the strong percentage Smedshammer barn

RACE 4

4-Hypnotic Tale – Gunned down Hurrikane Empress in the first leg with a :26.4, then cruised all the way last week, while stealing a one minute middle half, the 2017 NJSS Final runner up is definitely the one to beat

1-Hurrikane Empress – Swept last year’s NJSS series, barely outsprinted by Hypnotic Tale in round one, popped first over & outgamed for second by Cruzinforavictory in :26.2 last week

5-Cruzinforavictory – Flashed more speed off the wings to secure a pocket ride & fought off Hurrikane Empress for second last week, give her a big chance if Hypnotic Tale falters

RACE 5

6-Classy Chapel N – Was finishing well as a solid runner up to the runaway Mylittlesurfergirl last week, beaten favorite figures to be even better in her second start off the bench

5-Mylittlesurfergirl – Took full advantage of some class relief, added Gingras & reeled off the mile of her life in a 6-1 upset, has a big chance to repeat in a so-so field

4-Cheap Thrills – Has picked it up with two starts on the comeback trail with Lasix added, draws a bit better & there some back class in her repertoire

RACE 6

2-Chromeo – Improving 4YO for the raging Smedshammer stable took a new mark of 1:53.2 from post seven here two starts back & draws inside for the return class hike

6-Double L Lindy – Has gotten a new lease on life going two-for-two under Team Orange Crush, stepped up with an easy wire-to-wire repeat & new mark of 1:52.1, sharp enough to handle another class hike

7-Celebrity Ruth – Prolific NY stakes winner last season ran into the amazing filly Atlanta in her seasonal debut, then cruised to a new mark of 1:53.3 @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, capable of stepping up further

RACE 7

5-Stormtracker – 4YO hit the board in a couple of Burning Point Series legs here, went all the way for a new mark of 1:51.3 two starts back @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, severely pace compromised @ Yonkers last out

2-Legio X Equestrus – Battled bitterly, just missed & finished in front of Stormtracker last time @ Yonkers, draws inside that rival as a razor sharp prospect

4-Heaven’s Dancer – Set the pace & was right there in the photo with Legio X Equestris two starts back @ Yonkers & lands an inside post off a solid acclimating mile

RACE 8

8-Hat Trick Habit – Lived up to the tote hype & scored decisively to launch his road to the Hambo, looks like the talent is there to handle this outside assignment

2-Zephyr Kronos – Lightly-raced Takter-tuned Hambletonian prospect rebounded with a game grind & new mark of 1:53.3, draws well to continue his progress

7-Phaetosive – Major stakes player at two, while tangling with the undefeated Manchego, strong qualifier chasing another Takter Hambo hopeful & Smedshammer hitting on all cylinders

RACE 9

4-Bizet – Lightly-raced 3YO gelding flashed enough late trot in his Big M debut for Lucas Wallin to warrant a long look from another inside post & now Andrew McCarthy takes the lines

5-Broadway Bruiser – Fresh Hambletonian eligible for Don Swick raced well in his 3YO against N/W 3 @ Harrah’s Philadelphia & lands in a soft spot here

2-Eurobond – Won his latest qualifier with authority & picked up minor spoils with the trainer driving in the comebacker two weeks ago, back inside looking to break his maiden

RACE 10

7-Future Headlines – Freshened with a couple of months off, added Lasix & went all the way to win her qualifier here, was tackling much better N/W 6 @ Yonkers before that

2-Beyonces Rockn – Just one for 17 this season, but hit the board again despite interference @ Tioga Downs, faced much tougher when last seen here & draws inside

5-Clara Bea – Hasn’t exactly been setting the world on fire @ Yonkers, but this is a real soft spot & note the work her barn has done recently with Quality Bud
