RACE 1
4-Wild Smile – Chance to rebound off a disappointing effort from post seven, gets another shot at this weaker line up from an improved post, owns a bigger kicker than he showed last week
5-Fox Valley Steffen – Forced wide from a tough spot & still hit the board last week, needed to re-acclimate, expect him to be forwardly placed in a match up lacking clear speed
8-Fiji – Left alertly to establish striking position, battled bitterly & got nosed out by Hot Summer Knight, class & sharp form make him an obvious contender despite post eight again
RACE 2
3-Delightful Dragon – Only took her three starts to flaunt her class & unleash a blowout here two starts back, then wired the Preferred @ Yonkers, faces a marquee match up with Monica
4-Monica Gallagher – Prolific mare this Winter winning four of her last five for Team Burke, career best 1:51.4 in the snow storm two starts back, three-week layoff to consider
6-Juxta Cowgirl – Made a quick adjustment to the mile track here by equaling her lifetime mark with a well-controlled wire-to-wire score last week, gotta give her some love for that effort
RACE 3
3-Do Your Job – Doing my job watching this mare sharpen her sword with energetic efforts @ Freehold, was facing much better before the recent layoff & draws well for Super Brett
5-Girllookatthatbody – Forced to grind gamely first over & just missed with a gallant effort last week, standout contender knocking on the door & long overdue
7-Bettor N Better – Suddenly found herself on the lead setting a solid pace & faded to third as the beaten favorite, gets another chance to show her class at this bottom condition level
RACE 4
4-Dejarover – Gelding was only one for 18 as a 3YO, yet flashed encouraging late trot to hit the board in his first start for Jenny Melander, lands a prime spot for his second start off the bench
1A-Delaine Hall – Credit Winner colt did well enough to grab a minor share in his debut last week, heads a strong entry for Team Burke & draws inside to follow up in a wide-open field
7-Chromeo – Won his qualifier here with trot at both ends for Smedshammer, gate speed puts him in play from an outside draw, lightly-raced 4YO with upside
RACE 5
5-Chillin It De Vie – 1:51.3 mark here last season, we’ll give her the first start off the bench after a three-month layoff, note the qualifier chasing a superior Windsun Glory
7-Know It All – Took full advantage of another drop & perfect drive to stop her season skid last week, strong finishing mare thrives @ this track & looms as a threat to repeat
8-OK Heavenly – Beaten favorite in her last two just missed despite being pace compromised two starts back, then came up second best to Know It All with a perfect second over trip
RACE 6
8-Rockin Praline – Left sharply for a pocket ride, got caught behind the fading pacesetter, forced to angle outside of traffic & was flying late, post nine again, but this is a live item
2-Classy Chapel N – Really kicked in second time off the sick scratch with Lasix added & just missed last week, expect more speed from the rail
6-Maching Me Zilly – Followed up a narrow loss with an aggressive score two weeks ago, major threat for Team Burke despite a tougher draw in a tight match up
RACE 7
6-Jack Vernon – Muscle Hill gelding from a long productive line has won four of his last five for Team Orange Crush, ships in fresh off an extended distance tally @ Yonkers
2-Dekeyser – Sat a pocket behind standout Opulent Yankee, who was allowed to steal away, taken down for pylons violation & got rough at the wire, sharp 4YO draws better to atone
7-Golden Son – 10-time winner in 2017 & Open class contender @Dover Downs, solid runner up in last two @ Pocono, challenging post, yet fits here nicely in a very competitive field
RACE 8
7-Roundtown Rocker – Steady gelding has come around in his last three, strong win two starts back & almost stole one from post eight last week, tepid call in a real head scratcher
9-Montalbano Bi – Was on quite a form spree before making a break in his first start off the Burke claim, now lands outside, but has the talent & liking for the Big M to rebound
4-Triumphant’s Chip – Classy eight-time winner last year delivered on the tote hype with a strong surge last week, takes a double class leap, yet draws well for his second start off the bench
RACE 9
1-Pop Icon – Finished a decent fourth in his adjustment to the mile track here, had pace at both ends, lands the rail with a chance to trip out in a wide-open consolation
7-Perserverant – Forced wide from a long way back & finished well in :27.2, 1:51.2 mark here last season looks to get into a lively flow
6-Baggage Claim – Recent claim has done some damage here in the past, blitzed by a sizzling 1:50.3 winner last week, chance to show more in his second try off the bench
RACE 10
6-Steed – Dropped to this bottom level, made a late bid for the lead & came up third as the beaten favorite, may be on the verge on the comeback trail & finds a field begging to be beaten
3-Commentary – Was simply forced to do too much after a really slow start & still hit the board last week, an improved post may afford a better trip & chance to end his season drought
8-Danish Durango – Parked first over in his last two, yet seems to be over his recent breaking issues, tough draw, but this horse-for-the-course gets some class relief
RACE 11
4-City Hall – Rarely worth fighting City Hall, yet disappointed us twice in December, chance to regroup for Team Buter off a decent qualifier & gets an inside draw
9-Art History – Beaten favorite @ Pocono tumbles all the way down the class ladder for Team Burke, has simply way too much back class to ignore despite post nine
5-Spirit Of Truth – Go back to his bang up third from post ten on 2-24, hits rock bottom & midpack draw facilitates his preferred stalking trip
