RACE 1

6-Alexander Hanover – Looked like he was poised two starts back & squandered a two-hole trip, then dropped to N/W $5,000 & came up with the mile of his life in the slop, lands the same post in prime form

2-Sweet Justice – Finished well in his first start off the recent sick scratch, then we nailed him when he posted an aggressive nose decision from post seven, classy 8YO on the move up, yet draws inside

3-Karets – His numbers last year were solid, strong in the win column, a gutsy second from post nine against tougher last Fall, excuse the sloppy track break in his comebacker, tighter now & finally lands an inside post

RACE 2

4-JK Will Power – Looked like he ready to step up to this Preferred level with his sparkling upset in 1:50 on 1-27, deuce popped & took a serious shot at Awesomeness last week, remains a stalking opportunist in top form

7-Awesomeness – Pelling trainee has caught fire, fought off heavy late pressure & held on to take last week’s Preferred as the favorite & looks like the main target again

6-Bettor’s Edge – Steady warhorse knocking on the door, tried to give them the slip & was overhauled late as the heavy favorite, back up into the Preferred as the main speed

RACE 3

3-Explosive Ridge – Lightly-raced & promising 4YO has added Lasix on the comeback trail, flashed some late life in the slop, gets some class relief & draws inside again

2-P L Hercules – Burke trainee polished off 2017 on a wire-to-wire winning note, freshened & qualifier with some vigor & lands inside to build on his strong numbers from last year

6-Upfront Billy – Drops back down to the level of his perfect trip win from the rail on 1-20, draws better to work his preferred stalking trip in a wide-open field

RACE 4

7-Ever Again – Caught & severely shuffled behind a fading Baggage Claim in last Saturday’s finale, was flying once he got going, gets another shot at a very soft bottom level field

8-Dancingwithdelight – Has now had two tightening miles under Team Burke tutelage, showed more early speed from post nine last week & drops a notch

10-Sunshine West – Seven-time winner last season has been chasing much tougher recently, parked first over last week, hits rock bottom, just needs some luck from post 10

RACE 5

1-The Fire Within – Broke through for a convincing win from the rail at the bottom condition level on 2-10, now drops to face an easier group of claimers

3-JoJo Jove – Still in awe of his lifetime best 1:51.3 from post eight two starts back, won a heated battle with Drunken Terror for second last week & draws the same inside post

6-Drunken Terror – Has raced well in three starts since the claim, hit the board with solid late pace in his last two, the right pace & trip could launch him across

RACE 6

6-Bad Boy Brad A – Stormed home from a tough spot to an explosive upset in a career best 1:50 here back on 1-27, excuse trips @ Dover Downs on view, returns at a reduced level

3-Meetyouatmidnight – Fresh off another close second by a neck last week, this gelding is obviously razor sharp, draws a bit better & in line for another favorable trip

7-Jacksrluckytoo – Noted closer & Big M lover catapulted off a dazzling :53.1 half to just miss last week for Team Harmon, always dangerous with a similar set up

RACE 7

4-Lawrencetown Beach – Just missed to Dr J Hanover in an energetic qualifier, forced wide as the beaten favorite in the comebacker, Burke trainee moves inside & has a big chance to improve

3-Durant – Steamrolled first over enroute to a dominant score last week, has maintained his form spree since the claim & draws a bit better to set up a stalking trip in an ultra competitive field

8-Cowboy Terrier – Hustled to grab control from post 10 & held off a serious late bid, the other Burke trainee in here is on the rise, yet tackles another outside assignment in a tough match up

RACE 8

5-Sams Triple Crown - 4YO gelding has come around recently, showing speed & versatility, no chance with a slow start from post nine last week, draws better to set up his big late kick

1-Rather Swell – Just missed to the red-hot Durant two back, finished well just behind that same rival last out, moves inside with those two acclimating miles under him & looms as a price play

3-All Week – Utilized some recent class relief to regain his edge with two straight narrow losses, beaten favorite last week with pace at both ends & draws well to step back up in class

RACE 9

6-Iwillmakeyousaywow – Took full advantage & exploited a now-or-never spot with aggressive handling last week, horse-for-the-course bumped back up, while regaining form

4-Verdad – Much more energetic in his second qualifier, didn’t race badly in the comebacker after missing two years, Burke trainee owns plenty of back class, gets some class relief & draws well

3-Six Gun – The grey dropped & popped when able to work out a two-hole trip from post eight, upset these with a strong surge from post seven on 1-13, a threat with a better draw

RACE 10

9-Bad Gamer – Gets points for a decent fourth in his Big debut after racing in tougher classes @ Dover Downs, tackles post nine, but with any luck he can swoop past this highly beatable bunch

2-Thereisapaceforus – Just one for his last 40, on the fringes at a tougher level in NY, put together a nice rally to just miss last out, lands in a softer condition here & draws inside

1-Spirit Of Truth – Parlayed back-to-back wins @ Freehold with a pair of solid efforts here, big chance to trip out from the rail against a real camera-shy & weak N/W $8,500 field

RACE 11

6-Calvin B – Rallied from far back to hit the board in only his third start of the season, drops a notch & owns his share of back class & success here

8-Artsmah – Fresh off a noteworthy acclimating mile, thundered home off cover just half a length shy last week, draws farther out, but gets more class relief

7-Nocturnal Bluechip – Regaining form on the comeback trail for Team Orange Crush, third by a neck last week with pace at both ends & looms large despite a tougher post

RACE 12

4-Brickman – Won seven of 24 last year, owns a bit of back class, has a sharp closing kick, drops two notches, hails from a sharp barn & draws inside a mighty soft claimer

7-Outcry – Bounced back with a decent rally to hit the board in the closers’ favoring slop last out, draws a more demanding post, yet has a chance to continue his improving trend for the same reduced claiming tag

5-Charmbo Curiosity – Gelding has been hinting in his last two at the bottom condition level, just missed two starts back, tries the lowest claiming price again from a better post

RACE 13

4-Rock On Line – More than dominant again from post 10 on the step up to N/W 3, late-blooming 4YO moves inside with bigger fish to fry down the road for a barn going well now

7-Rockin Machine – Fresh & sharp 4YO for a hot barn had the misfortune of running into standouts like Pepper Guy & Rock On Line in his last two, leaves, stalks & tries to turn the tables

1-Drinkin Again – Just two for his last 34, steady sort was pace compromised in most recent @ Yonkers against N/W 4 stock, pushes off from the rail to trip out behind the main target
