RACE 1

5-Kid PK – Just three for 40 last year, but a fresh claim by a barn making noise here, remains @ $7,500 in good form & picks up the man behind Lather Up & Wiggle It Jiggleit

 

2-Walks Of Life – Hot claiming item on a long form spree, almost went all the way to repeat from post eight, finally moves inside & looms as the likely speed target

 

1-Rocco – Has simply been hampered by outside draws in his last two, finished a close second back on 12-19 & can work out a smooth stalking trip from the rail

 

RACE 2

5-JL Cruze – The King has rejuvenated his career, regaining confidence with consistency, fresh off a dominant 1:51.2 performance last week, finds the right kind of field to take advantage of

 

7-Rubber Duck – The Duck waded through the slop in 1:52.3 here last season, was on a roll before the recent freshening, put through a solid qualifier for Team Bongiorno

 

4-Misslarose – The other Team Bongiorno trainee hasn’t raced in 36 days, scored back-to-back here in November, owns a mark of 1:52.2 @ The Big M & always a forward presence

 

RACE 3

5-Barimah A – Has the makings of a Pat Berry bomber, 10YO loves this track, slow starts & overmatched in his last two, drops another notch, draws better, has speed to stalk

 

3-Decoy – Finished a solid third to an impressive Italian Delight N last week, continues to ramp up his game since the early December sick scratch, drops again & draws inside

 

4-JK Will Power – Suddenly unleashed a wire-to-wire down-the-road mission in sub 1:50 fashion under ideal conditions last week, draws well for the step up in class

 

RACE 4

8-More The Better N – Classy Dover Downs shipper for Dylan Davis tries an easier level here, goes third time Lasix, can overcome the tough draw with speed & versatility 

 

3-Captain Dolmio N – Nosed out with a furious rally a notch above this on 12-21, strong finish from post ten last week, moves inside with a chance to be within closer striking range

 

6-Heavenly Sound – Just one for 26 last year, but making his second start off the bench, gets further class relief & draws better in a wide-open field

 

RACE 5

5-Western Exposure – Sidelined three weeks after getting nosed out by Duddie’s Lor, tripped out to edge that same rival fresh off the bench, stands out midpack for the rematch

 

9-Duddie’s Lor – Like we said last week, this is a special, lightly-raced 4YO with talent & potential, went all the way from post eight & scored from off the pace & post ten before that

 

7-The First Step – New acquisition for Team Burke shows good form @ Mohawk, hasn’t raced in 35 days, draws a demanding post & faces two sharpies

 

RACE 6

1-Effronte A – How good is he? Unleashed a wicked :53 back half & sizzling 1:48.3 in only his second US start, bumped up to the Preferred, but moves inside to stalk closer

 

4-Harambe Deo – Only a nose away from winning his last three, nailed a well-rated Eddard Hanover with another sharp rally into a :54.1 back half & draws well again 

 

2-Eddard Hanover – Well deserving of strong attention off his nose loss to Harambe Deo & current form spree, right back with another inside post in an ultra competitive affair

 

RACE 7

6-Atta Boy Dan – Caught first over in a fast pace & still finished third in :26.3 to the impressive Effronte A last week, 19-time winner in 2019 gets another shot at this reduced level

 

4-Franco Tristan N – Here we go again with a downunder bred making his Big M debut off flashy qualifiers here, his latest in :54.4 & :25.2, draws well for a serious test

 

5-Wheels On Fire – Jammed up the Preferred field in :56.4 on 12-21, got scorched in the slop on 1-4, pace compromised last week, drops dangerously for Team Burke

 

RACE 8

2-Italian Delight N – Unleashed an eye-catching :53.2 back half & :25.4 to prevail as the favorite in a rousing US debut from post eight, rewarded with an inside post to continue his assault

 

10-Mindtrip – 12-time winner in 2019 has proven to be a serious player @ this level, dominated in the slop two weeks ago & rates top contender status despite post ten

 

6-Stonedust – The grey streak catapulted off some dazzling fractions to nail the upset in :26.2, fresh off that 1:49 mark he can stalk the speed again in top form

 

RACE 9

1-Whatstroublenurocky – Moves inside fresh off a close second with pace at both ends as the beaten favorite, no chance in his previous two, acclimated now & lands in a prime spot 

 

5-I’m An Athlete – Right there in the photo with Trump That in :26.1 last week, crushing score in the slop before that, this 10YO is on a roll right now

 

10-Trump That – Has rounded into form in his last three for Team Burke, barely outgamed in :26.3 last week, capable of blasting off & coming from off the pace

 

RACE 10

1-Western Redhot – Closed from post ten & last into a :54.1 back half in a much-needed start here, moves inside to set up his stalking style, second start for his new barn

 

4-I Am The Cowboy – Beaten favorite got over aggressive with sudden speed in his second start here, can rebound from an improved post with Dexter Dunn

 

2-Sunshine West – Just one for 18 last year, but draws inside off a huge wake up rally in :26.3 & looms as a price play in this handicapper’s headscratcher

 

RACE 11

4-Santafe’s Coach – Shuffled in the slop after a quick start two weeks ago, owns a wicked late kick, drops another notch & lands post four again in a vulnerable field

 

3-Sharp Action Money – Has a chance to rebound off a rare miscue, first in a deadheat over an off track before that & this 1:49.3 Big M performer in 2019 draws inside again for Team Burke

 

6-Independent One – Certainly proved his rousing upset two starts was no fluke when he came right back with a gutsy first over crush last week, chance to keep it going at a tougher level

 

RACE 12

1-Live On – Flashed some sneaky late pace from way out of it last week, now moves inside for his second start off a sick scratch, looms as a stalking threat & price play

 

3-Decision Day – Has been knocking on the door & trying to close from near impossible spots in his last two here, now gets class & post relief in this wide-open match up

 

8-Jet Airway – Beaten favorite right there in the photo off the Juan Cano claim, tougher draw this time, but has the speed to overcome & back class to assert himself

 

RACE 13

7-Big Rocky – Was right there in a blanket photo after firing out for position, beaten favorite flash sharp speed before that, eligible for an overdue win by timing it just right

 

1-Sharknado – Put together one of his patented rallies to just miss by a neck fresh off the latest claim, back inside to set up his late move within closer range while on the verge

 

10-Kaboom Pow – Beaten heavy favorite was well rated by Dexter Dunn & came up just half a length shy, now slammed with post ten, but owns plenty of gate speed

 

RACE 14

6-Big Bad Bill – Posted a productive 2019 season, now gets his fourth consecutive class drop, draws better, long overdue & figures to have speed to shoot at

 

3-Seeing Eye Single – Beaten favorite was used too hard in a fast pace two weeks ago, Team Burke trainee now plummets to the basement, draws inside & stands out

 

4-Twin B Jays – Woke up with sudden speed, rated nicely & battled bitterly to just miss as the even money favorite, look for this Andrew Harris trainee to be forwardly placed again
